NATURE TRAIL Parent & Child Class “We have such a brief opportunity to pass on to our children our love for this Earth, and to tell our stories. These are the moments when the world is made whole. In my children's memories, the adventures we've had together in nature will always exist.” “Time in nature is not leisure time; it's an essential investment in our children's health (and also, by the way, in our own).” Richard Louv Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children from Nature- Deficit Disorder Starts April 5 Tuesdays from 9:00 – 11:00 am Dates: April 5, 12, 19 May 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 June 7 9 weeks for $360 Join us for our new outdoor Parent and Child Nature Trail class, beginning this Spring. Each week, we gather in the lobby at 9:00 am. The morn- ing begins with “free play time” during which the children are encouraged to explore the natural world around them. After building up an appetite we pause to enjoy a picnic of freshly baked bread, organic apples, and warm tea. Following snack we transition to our seasonally themed circle time. Onward we go to the nature trail for a leisurely walk, taking time to observe and make new discoveries along the path. Each week we visit and care for the fairy garden by planting, watering and building fairy houses. Our time ends with a goodbye verse and we exit through the school.
