Background• Lone Wolf Bridge is being converted to an exclusive
pedestrian/bicycle bridge
• TxDOT is proposing to amend “Traffic” portion of City’s Ordinance to add angled on-street parking
• On-street angled parking is only allowed by ordinance; spaces are angled 90°
• Parking areas will be in right-of way and slightly encroach in street
• East Avenue K will be partially opened to vehicular traffic for parking purposes
City staff recommends approving TxDOT’s request to amend Chapter 10, Sec. 10.600 to allow the addition of 90° angled parking on both sides (east and west) of East Avenue K, between Metcalfe Street and South Concho Park Drive.
