Family News
NEXT SUNDAY IS CELEBRATION SUNDAY! A traditional service will
be held at 8:00 and the special "Love Wins" Celebration Service will take
place at 10:15. "Love Wins" will combine worship songs, narration and other
elements as we reflect upon Jesus' love for Mary, Martha and Lazarus in
John 11. Children will not only join us in the service but will be a part of it!
We ask that families with children sit in the left section as you enter (the
piano side) so that they can all be encouraged to run together to see the Jesus
character when he enters the sanctuary and sing him a song. Please also
encourage them to bring their very own offering to the service: a picture,
drawing, poem, flower or anything they would like to give when the
congregation comes forward with its tithes and offerings. God continues to
do great things among us--let's lift up His name in praise!
CAN YOU DIG IT? Help needed to plant the HCOB Rising Light Garden
Saturday, May 14th at 1:00 PM! Bring your garden implements and happy
hearts as we plant seeds and veggies for Water Street Ministries next to the
pavilion. Thanks!
ONGOING FOOD PANTRY NEEDS—Cereal, peanut butter, jelly, pasta,
spaghetti sauce, rice, tuna & other canned meats, macaroni & cheese,
canned fruits, vegetables, juice, canned tomatoes (14-16 oz). Please
continue to donate grocery bags.
CALLING ALL MUSICIANS...we need your help! As summer
approaches our need for special music doubles and we'd love to hear from
you! Feel free to sign up for a Sunday on the signup sheet in the narthex or
contact Carolyn Gingrich or Laura Meiser (689.0465 or
[email protected]). Thank you for your willingness to share your
time and talents.
FREE BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS will be given by nurses after
church today. Please feel free to stop by and ask them any questions about
this issue.
THE HELPING HANDS MINISTRY is sponsored by the Outreach Team
and is available to help you if you have a need for some extra help around the
house, getting to appointments, cooking meals, yard work etc. If you could
use a Helping Hand or would like to be a part of this ministry by helping
others please contact Cindy Harnish at 872-8951.
