Mass and Healing Service
Monday, December 5 7 PM Fr. John Campoli, Celebrant
Healing prayers will be available following the mass
Evangelization matters! It is the Church’s mission, and it represents a special responsibility for leaders. How can leaders help baptized Catholics embrace their role in passing on the flame of faith and bringing Christ’s warmth and light to all?
RENEW International presents Be My Witness, a Christ-centered, Spirit-led approach to transforming parishes and forming disciples for the New Evangeliza-tion. Be My Witness draws its inspiration from The Joy of the Gospel, Pope Francis’ landmark document on evangelization.
Be My Witness gets the conversation started in the parish about the single most important topic facing our Church today--evangelization.
It gives parish leaders the process and tools to build an ever-widening circle of conversion and commitment in two integrated phases.
Phase 1 equips parish staff, leaders, and pastoral councils to lead mission-focused change.
Phase 2 engages and forms parishioners as mission-ary disciples, ready to become partners in the New Evangelization.
The results are the pastoral plans and motivation need-ed to transform the parish into a “center of constant missionary outreach.”
Our parish has been participating in Phase 1 since the Summer. We will be looking for participants for Phase 2 in early 2017. Please include our efforts
in your prayers. Please read more at:

News from the Society of St. Vincent de Paul It’s that time of year again! The Advent Season has begun! The annual SVdP gift tree is up in the church lobby and deco-rated with tags of gift donation ideas for those less fortunate. Some of our clients wouldn’t have Christmas gifts at all if it weren’t for the generosity of you, our parishioners. Please take a tag, return it with an unwrapped gift and make it a hap-pier Christmas for someone. We’ll be wrapping them all after 9:00 mass on the weekends of 12/4 (lower church) and 12/11(MDH). We could use helpers. We also appreciate donations of gift wrapping supplies. We have an overabundance of wrapping paper but we could certainly use all other supplies, especially gift bags, gift boxes, gift tags, holiday gift box tissue and tape (both disposable and especially roll refills). Thanks to everyone who supported us at the Christmas ba-zaar. Our lollipop pull and raffle earned almost $300. In much needed funds. Could you please help our food pantry by donating non-perishable food or toiletry items? Donations can be left in the church lobby after any mass. We are especially low on pasta sauce. We also need canned tuna & chicken, peanut butter, jelly, canned pastas such as Chef Boyardee, canned or pack-aged fruits, cereals, toiletry items such as shampoo, tooth-paste, etc., soups, canned vegetables. Experience has shown us that sometimes those who need help the most are the least likely to ask for it. If this is you please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. You don’t have to face your problems alone. In the name of Christ we are here to help and to serve. If you or someone you know is in need of assistance please contact us through the parish office. In the past we’ve helped people with rent, utility, groceries, med-icines, special dietary requirements, referrals to govt. agen-cies and many other needs.
