Chuck Neighbors has over 37 years of professional theatre experience as an actor, director, and writer. He has toured his one-man shows throughout North America as well as abroad. His most popular one-man drama, an adaptation of Charles Sheldon's Christian Classic, In His Steps, has been featured on radio and television and performed before hundreds of live audiences. Chuck has performed in theatres, churches, gymnasiums, airplane hangars and even on board a submarine. He has traveled by planes, trains and automobiles (and buses and boats) and even by helicopter to mountaintops in Korea, performing for U.S. military troops.

Chuck’s published works include his best-selling Drama Now, Short Scenes For Worship, What Would Jesus Do?, The Comfort Zone, In the Moment (Lillenas Publishing), and Power Plays (Baker Books). He has also written numerous magazine articles on the arts and worship. Chuck is much in demand as a workshop/seminar leader for both large conferences and the local church. In addition, Chuck is also a World Vision Artist Associate working to bring help and hope to the world's poor through the child sponsorship program. Chuck and his family make their home in Salem, Oregon.

Truth Be Told is all about stories—true stories—from the life of Chuck Neighbors (that "Christian Actor Guy"). He's not making this stuff up! Instead of hiding behind one of his many characters Chuck pulls back the curtain of his own life to reveal some of the stories that come from his years as an actor, family guy, and world traveler. Authentic stories that will make you laugh, groan and go "hmmm." Stories about faith, hope and persevering when the "bad stuff" happens. Stories about the importance of story... leaving the audience to reflect on their own stories. Truth Be Told is a story about God's grace, and that's a story everyone needs to hear!


Workshops


Chuck Neighbors conducts workshops on drama and communication tailored to meet your needs. The workshops are designed to be fun and participatory with an emphasis on learning by doing. Workshops are a great way to kick off a church drama ministry and they are excellent events to offer to other churches and organizations in your community. In addition to a typical performance basics workshop, there are several short seminars that are popular additions to a conference, convention or retreat setting.
