Instrument Configuration In order to be able to control all the parts ofan existing system, the first step is toreproduce the configuration of theinstrument on the PC. This usually requiresmanual selection of all the inlets, detectors,pneumatics and autosamplers involved.

The Virtual KeypadThe innovative "virtual keypad" permits real-time remote instrument/PC interaction. Thisis an interface designed to reproduce thekeyboard of the TRACEGC Ultra, increasingfamiliarity and makinginstrument control assimple and effective asit has ever been. Withthis function it's likehaving the GC insideyour computer!
AutosamplersSpecifically designed sections featurecomprehensive parameter lists used tocreate the most suitable method for bothliquid and headspace injections. Parametersmay be entered either from the GC's keypador from the Chrom-Card's dedicated menu.Whichever method can hence be retrievedinto the sampler memory at any time.Just another feature thought to make lifeeasier and more productive.
Method developmentUnder a unique method name, all thenecessary information is saved toautomate analyzing, data processing andreporting of predetermined batches ofsamples. Method parameters can beentered by directly selecting the section ofinterest from dedicated icons or followingthe step-by-step procedure of the methodwizard.
An important section of the method isthe sample table. This is used to fullycharacterize each sample to be analyzedwith name, amount, internal standardamount (if any), dilution factor, GC andsampler method used, and vial position.
The component table is then used tolist the names of all analyzed components.Each name is automatically assigned toeach peak as a function of absolute and/orrelative retention time, and confirmed by acrosscheck with absolute or % retentiontime window. Detection/integrationparameter sections provide the possibilityto define the acquisition requirements andthe integration constants. Additionalfunctions such as "baseline compensation"can be selected, and utilities such as "testintegration" can be prompted to furtheradjust integration quality.

Further information out of the acquireddata can be provided by the “operating onchromatograms” function. This allows theuser to perform mathematical operationsbetween two chromatograms such asadding, subtracting, and performing the 1stderivative and smoothing.

ReportingChoose a pre-arranged format or build yourown custom report with the “reportpublisher”.
