From the Pastor’s Desk

This weekend we welcome Deacon Mike Fulton. Deacon Mike is a seminarian for the Diocese of Columbus and will be ordained a priest in May 2020. We are blessed to have him with us this summer, and I am excited to share some of the parish workload with this young, enthusiastic man of God! Please make Deacon Mike feel at home and continue to pray for all of the seminarians of the Diocese of Columbus. Our Church needs good and holy priests! The parish is also kicking off our 2019 Bishop’s Annual Appeal (BAA). This year’s theme for the BAA is “God makes every grace abundant.” God has indeed blessed us abundantly with his grace, and the sacrifices we make to the Church reflect our gratitude for these abundant blessings. My hope is that all the parishioners of Christ the King will take time in the next few days to reflect upon the ways in which they have been blessed by God. Then, in light of that prayerful reflection, consider how much they are able to contribute to the BAA this year. Let us give sacrificially to the Diocese of Columbus so that the Catholic Church can continue to thrive in central Ohio. May the Lord bless you throughout the upcoming week.

Este fin de semana recibimos al Diácono Mike Fulton. El Diácono Mike es un seminarista de la Diócesis de Columbus y será ordenado sacerdote en mayo de 2020. Tenemos la bendición de tenerlo con nosotros este verano, y estoy emocionado de compartir parte del trabajo de la parroquia con este entusiasta joven hombre de Dios. Hagan que Mike se sienta como en casa y sigan orando por todos los seminaristas de la Diócesis de Columbus. ¡Nuestra Iglesia necesita buenos y santos sacerdotes! La parroquia también está iniciando nuestra Campaña Anual del Obispo 2019 (BAA). El tema de este año para la BAA es "Dios hace abundantes todas las gracias". De hecho, Dios nos ha bendecido abundantemente con su gracia, y los sacrificios que hacemos por la Iglesia reflejan nuestra gratitud por estas abundantes bendiciones. Have you heard of REACH? This summer, members and leaders of

Christ the King will gather for a four-week series called “REACH” to discover anew the mission to which God is calling us. Each week, we will come together to experience a talk, prayer, and discussion around questions like: How can we reach more people and help others discover the fullness of life and joy that Christ offers? How do we build a vibrant culture that ministers to present and future generations? What is God calling me to do? REACH will take place on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the church basement throughout the month of June. The Sisters’ Corner

All are invited to the sisters’ monthly retreat on Saturday, May 25, in the school gym. The focus of the retreat will be our relationship with the Holy Spirit. The day will run from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (This event is in Spanish).

All Saints Academy Catholic School

Thank you to all the families and friends who came to our spring concerts this past week. Thank you to Mrs. Carle, our music teacher and all the other teachers and staff who helped put on such an enjoyable show. Congratulations to Jennifer Parra Huerta, one of our 6th grade students, who placed in the state science fair competition. She was 2 points shy of superior and the judges specifically congratulated her on her project as well as her plans for future work in Science. Congratulations to our 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Kohrmann, who has completed 20 years of service to the Diocese of Columbus this year. Thank you for your dedication to the future of our world, the children.

Escuela Católica All Saints Academy

Gracias a todas las familias y amigos que vinieron a nuestros conciertos de primavera la semana pasada. Gracias a la Sra. Carle, nuestra maestra de música y a todos los maestros y personal que ayudaron a desarrollar tan hermoso show.
