Lynn & Chris Wefirstmetatworkin2007spendingmostWednes-daystogetherintheoperatingroom.Ourattractiontoeachotherwasobvious,therelationshipcontinuedtostrength-en,andsoonwebecameanitem.WedatedforalittlemorethanayearbeforegettingengagedinSeptemberof2009,thenightbeforeahalfmarathoninPhiladelphia.Needlesstosay,neitherofuswonthehalfmarathon,butweencouragedeachotherthroughthelast5miles.FourmonthslaterwemarriedonawarmJanuaryday.Whetherhikinginnationalparks,travelingtocitiesbothnearandfar,ortakingastrollalongasandybeachwehaveembracedlifetogether. Bothofusalwaysknewwewantedafamilyandwast-edlittletimetryingtomakethishappen.TwoandahalfyearslateroursonChristopherwasborn.Webothlovebeingparentsandfeelithastrulybroughtoutthebestineachofus.Ittooklittletimeforustolearnthatitwasn’talwayseasyraisingachildwhosleptrarelyandateoften,butwedecidedearlyontomakeitatrueteameffort,relyingoneachotherforloveandsupport. WhileChristopherwasconceivednaturallywestrug-gledtohaveanotherchild.Afterayearoftrying“theoldfashionway,”andmorethantwoyearsofIUIandIVF,wedecidedthatthosemethodswerenotforusandthatadop-tionwastherightpathforourfamily.

About Lynn... (by Chris)Lynn is truly a loving, amazing, dedicat-ed and determined mother and wife. Her dedication to raising our son is matched by few. From the moment he entered our lives she has strived to make Christopher her priority, whether it’s taking him to the park, teaching him how to read and write, acting out silly scenes from Su-perman and Star Wars, or spending time snuggling on the couch with him. Lynn is quick to pull out a camera to catch all the precious moments. She is goofy, fun loving, sometimes frustrated by computer programs, but always aware of the needs of people around her. Lynn has a ginor-mous (her favorite word, I think) heart and it shows every day. I look forward to a lifetime raising our family together with her.

About Chris... (by Lynn)Chris is one of those guys that everybody loves. He is warm, compa-sionate and truly the smartest person I have ever met. Chris has an “old soul,” he listens to music from older generations, tells the lamest jokes and wears his “travel” pants on vacation. Chris is a loving and car-ing husband and father. He will play along to any silly ideas we come up with. He is also an amazing listener. No matter the subject he fully engages himself into the conversation. Chris is very hands on when it comes to our son, whether that be lying on the floor playing cars or dressig up as Captain Hook. He has so much love for us and even more to give if given the opportunity to expand our family.

Christopherattendshalf-daypre-school.Whennotattendingschool,heenjoysplayinganythingthatinvolvesSuperman,StarWars,andPoliceofficers.Christopheroftenspendstimeplayingwithhiscousinsandfriendsfromschool.Heenjoysplayinggolf,tennis,t-ball,“cook-ing,”readingandsnuggletimewithMommyandDaddy.

Lois and Clark (yes, as in Superman)...

Lois and Clark are puppies we rescued after our beloved dog Sam passed away at the age of 15. They are both mixed breed pups from two different rescues. Lois is from Tennesse and Clark is from Arkansas! They bring so much puppy love to our family, both sweet and gentle. We all adore them and enjoy taking them to the park,

going for walks, and lots of tug of war in the yard.

Family...Wefeeltrulyblessedtobeabletolivesoclosetobothofourfamilies.Lynn’smom(Grandma)istherockofherfamily.Havingbeenadoptedherselfandlosingherhusbandatayoungage,shehasstrivedtopro-videforthemasasinglemom.Chris’parents(MimiandPopastheyareaffectionatelyknown)areloving,attentiveandwelcomingtoall.With5children,spousesand8grandchildrenthegatheringsfillupquickly,usuallywiththesoundoflaughterofalargeIrishfamily.Wecelebrateholidaysandbirthdaysandweekendstogether,takevacationswitheachother,andoftensittogetherforSundaymass.Weliveandworktogetherandareappreciativeofeverydaywegettospendwitheachother.Thecousinsarealwaysfindingnewwaystogettogethertoplayandhavefun!Ourfamiliesareexcitedaboutouradoptionjourneyandasalwayshavebeenamazinglysupportive.Weloveourfamiliesandfeellovedbybythem.

Community... Our families have been in the

community for many generations and so there is a large sense of fam-ily within our community. One of the parts we love most about our community is that those who are new to it are welcomed with open arms, whether it’s through the local churches, schools or clubs. People here have a strong sense of fami-ly and understand the importance of strong local ties. We both have childhood friends who contin-ue to be an important part of our lives because of that strong sense of communal family. We have ex-cellent schools available to our children from preschools through universities.

Our Home...Our home is cozy, and invit-

ing. It is brightly colored with artwork from both Christopher and Lynn displayed through-out. We have a large fenced in back yard and large open front yard in which we spend lots of time playing in. There are many playgrounds near by which we visit quite often.
