Chinese CSSD “Open House Day” 10th, April, under the organization and call of Chinese Nursing Association CSSD Committee, Chinese

hospitals Central Sterile and Supply Departments synchronized with world counterparts, held various

kinds of “Open House Day” activities.

Invited to participate in the “Open House Day” activities are the hospital leaders, presidents in charge,

directors and head nurses of clinical departments, staff of relevant departments, clinicians, nurses,

industry colleagues, representatives of equipment manufacturers, and so on. It is amazing for the

participants to see the clean environment, advanced equipment and skilled technical operation of the

staff in the CSSD, and to have an intuitive understanding of the role played by the CSSD in the safe

operation of hospitals and the prevention of infection.

CSSD is a special department in hospital. Because of its closed working environment and strict

working standards, it has another nickname "mysterious department". On the “Open House Day”,

CSSD across the country opened their doors, opened their hearts, and used various forms of

publicity to make more people understand the nature of the CSSD work, and increase the

understanding and support of patients and medical personnel in CSSD work. At the same time,

the propaganda shows the personnel professionalization, process standardization and

management modernization of CSSD, shortens the distance between the CSSD staff and clinical

staff, promotes mutual understanding, and jointly improves the safe and standardized use of

patients’ medical supply.

The blooming of flowers is more beautiful because of the foil of green leaves, and the scenery

before the stage is more prosperous because of the sweat of the people behind. In the future,

Chinese CSSD and its staff will continue to work hard and forge ahead, together with our

counterparts in the world, to protect the safety of patients!
