PRICE: All prices shown are in U.S. dollars. Air transportation is based on economy class and is subject to the rules of the particular fare utilized. Domestic transportations within other countries are by the local carriers. Price is based on two adults sharing a twin bedded room, double occupancy. A third adult sharing room with two adults will also pay the share twin price. Asia Journeys is not responsible for roommate match. A traveler request for a single room is required to pay single supplement. Child price is applicable for child 11 years and under (from the return day of the trip) and they share room with two adults without additional bed. Child 12 years and above will be charged at the regular adult price. All rates are based on the present value of foreign currencies in relation to the US dollar in effect on January 1, 2009. Prices are subject to change, when you travel before or during public holidays, special events and fairs, due to currency fluctuation or any unforeseeable reasons.

RESERVATION: Please have exact name as it appears on the passport for booking. The air ticket will be issued based on that name. A non-refundable deposit of $300 per person is due at time of booking. Asia Journeys will allow up to 72 hours for receipt of deposit. If the deposit is not received within 72 hours, the reservation will be automatically cancelled. For reservations made within 60 days prior to departure, full payment is due at the time of booking. Final payment of the total tour price is due 60 days prior to departure. Occasionally, payment for air ticket will be required sooner, based on the ticketing deadline assigned by the airline. If your payment is not received by the due date, the reservation will be subject to cancellation. Prior to the receipt of full payment, prices are subject to change without notice. Upon receipt of full payment, the tour price will be guaranteed. However, Asia Journeys reserves the right to re-invoice your reservation at any time should an error made in computing your vacation price.

CANCELLATIONS: Written notice of cancellation must be received by Asia Journeys either by mail or fax. Oral cancellation by phone will not be acceptable. Upon receipt of your written notice, you will be assessed the following cancellation penalties:

*Plus any additional charges assessed by land suppliers or airlines, in addition to any revision fees. Asia Journeys reserves the right issue airlines tickets immediately upon receipt of your tour deposit. Note: 1) In the case of tickets issued, (regardless of number of days prior to departure), the passenger will be assessed an additional airline cancellation penalty and service charge pursuant to the airlines rules and regulations. Non-refundable tickets after issued are 100% no refund. Additional cancellation penalties apply to holiday, peak season and special event departures.2) If your cancellation affects the price of your group and roommate’s tour price, we will deduct this amount from your refund on top of your own cancellation penalty.3) When a reservation is made through an agent, claims for refund must be made by your agent making the original booking and such claims must be made within 30 days of the termination of the tour.4) No refund or reimbursement for the unused portion of the tour and package.

DELIVERY: Documents will be issued 21 to 10 days prior to departure. Documents cannot be issued until full payment has been received by Asia Journeys. All documents can be mailed. A minimum handling and shipping fee of $15 per transaction apply. Asia Journeys will not send documents on regular mail.

REVISION AND CHANGE FEE: A fee of US$50 per transaction will be charged for any alteration made to a reservation. Changes made after confirmation will incur an amendment fee of US$50 plus airline, hotel and cruise line penalties. Once documents or tickets have been issued, no change is permitted. All items included in the itinerary are non transferable. The change of departure date, name or from one tour to another is considered a cancellation and a new reservation and cancellation penalties apply.

TRAVEL PERIOD: Peak travel period surcharges, minimum night stays and holiday blackouts may apply. Asia Journeys reserves the right to substitute other hotels of an equivalent standard and reverse the itinerary. During local or national holidays, certain facilities such as museums and restaurants, sightseeing tours and shopping may be limited or not available. Alternatives will be offered whenever possible. Special offers shown in the flyer and brochure may be restricted, modified or withdrawn at anytime. These promotional features have no cash value and are non-refundable if they are not provided or used.

GROUP DEPARTURES: When the total number of tour members fall below ten passengers for group departures, Asia Journeys reserves the right to cancel the tour. However, passengers do have options to pay extra for guarantee departures.

INFORMATION: Information including descriptions, photographs and maps contained in the literature are for reference only and may not be exact in every detail. Asia Journeys is not responsible for omissions, printing and/or presentation errors in brochures and flyers, on Internet sites or in any other media where such information may be presented; we reserve the right to make corrections as required.

AIRPORT CHECK-IN: It is recommended that you arrive at the airport three hours prior to the scheduled flight departure. Failure to check in at least one hour prior to the flight departure time will result in the loss of seat to a stand-by passenger.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS: All passengers are responsible for obtaining all visas and entry documents, and for meeting all health and other requirements that are required by laws, regulations and countries to be visited. A passport must valid for at least 6 months after the return date. The passengers must check with their booking agents or consulate offices regarding the entry requirements. Visa fee is non refundable. Asia Journeys is not responsible for any costs involved when the passengers are denied entrance for any reason at foreign country and no refund will be made.

BAGGAGES: Baggage allowance differs for the transpacific and China sections. US transpacific allowance is two pieces of checked baggage. Maximum weight/size for each piece is 50 lbs. - 70 lbs. (subject to airline policy) and 62 inches (sum of three dimensions). One carry-on not to exceed 45 inches (sum of three dimensions) is allowed. Baggage allowance within China is one piece of baggage not over 44 lbs. per person, plus a carry-on. Baggage in excess of one piece per person will result in excess baggage fees to be paid immediately upon demand. Asia Journeys does not assume any responsibility for any loss or damage to baggage or passengers’ belongings.

HEALTH: In general, tours are quite active and require a good deal of walking including stairs. We strongly recommend that you discuss health concerns with your personal physician. Currently, vaccinations are not required. As health requirements change without notice, please check with your Public Health Service for current required or recommended inoculations. Any physical or mental disability, which requires special treatment and attention, must be noted at the time of reservation.

TRAVEL PROTECTION PLAN: Asia Journeys strongly recommends the purchase of travel insurance. It protects you against financial losses you would incur in the case of illness, injury, or death of you, a family member, or traveling companion.

UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES: Should weather or other unforeseen circumstances cause a delay in transportation, it may not be possible to include some sightseeing tours as scheduled. Asia Journeys reserves the right to postpone or cancel the tour, and any loss or additional expenses incurred shall be absorbed by the participants and is payable immediately. Due to varying water levels on the Yangtze River and/or construction at the Three Gorges Dam, Yangtze River cruise routes and shore excursions are subject to possible change. Furthermore, should political upheavals, bad weather conditions or the like arise, local suppliers conducting the tour reserve the right to alter the itinerary as necessary. Any additional expenses incurred shall be charged to the participants. If flights are not available at the scheduled time, we reserve the right to modify the air and land arrangements for smooth operation of the tour.

RESPONSIBILITYAsia Journeys (a subsidiary of R & J International Travel Group, Inc.) acts only in the capacity of an agent for suppliers ("Principals" identified on the attached or accompanying documents) in accepting reservations or bookings. The suppliers providing transportation, conveyance, hotel accommodations, meals and tours are independent contractors and are not agents or employees of Asia Journeys. All tickets, coupons and receipts issued by Asia Journeys and all arrangements for transport, conveyance, hotel accommodations, meals and tours are made by Asia Journeys as agent of the suppliers. By utilizing the services of suppliers, you agree that neither Asia Journeys nor its subsidiary or affiliate shall be responsible for breach of contract or any intentional or careless actions or omissions on part of such suppliers, which result in any losses, damages, accidents, delays, or injuries to you, your travel companions or group members. Nor shall Asia Journeys be liable for any losses, damages, accidents, delays, or injuries resulting directly or indirectly from delays, cancellations or changes in flights, itineraries, schedules or other services, strikes, criminal or terrorist activities, social or labor unrest, weather, mechanical or construction difficulties, sickness, quarantine diseases, abnormal conditions and developments, or any other causes beyond the control of Asia Journeys. Participants are responsible for any losses and expenses. Participants voluntarily assume all risks involved with such travel, whether expected or unexpected. The participants are hereby warned of such risks, and are advised to obtain appropriate insurance coverage against them. Asia Journeys will not have liability regarding a provision of medical care or the adequacy of any care that may be rendered. Asia Journeys is not responsible for value, reliability, quality or authenticity of any goods purchased during the tour. Any after-sales correspondences must be between passengers and the shops. Asia Journeys reserves the right to postpone or cancel the tour, the only responsibility is limited to refund to the passenger the amount received for the tour reservation. Asia Journeys cannot assume responsibility for any visa fee, additional costs, any fees relating to the issuance and/or cancellation of air tickets, and/or other travel arrangements not made through Asia Journeys. Asia Journeys reserves the right to decline or accept any person as tour participant regarding such person’s health, mental and physical condition or general demeanor obstruct the operation of tour, or the rights and the enjoyment of other tour participants.
