How to book your party...

Let us know your party plans...

In order to secure your booking we need a completed copy of the;

• Party application form• Småland party list

These forms should be emailed to [email protected]. From here we will be able to arrange confirmation and online payment.

Each guest and the birthday child must also have their parents or guardian complete the Confidential Enrolment Form to submit to Småland staff members on the day of the party.

Unfortunately children who do not have this completed form on the day of the party can not be admitted to the Småland play area under any circumstances.

IKEA Children’s Parties Terms and Conditions

• Bookings can be made for Monday - Friday only, excluding school holiday periods and public holidays. Please email [email protected] to source availability.

• The minimum charge is for 10 children and then, per child thereafter, up to a maximum of 15 children.

• For children who wish to be admitted to the Småland facility must have their Confidential Enrolment Form (attached below) completed and signed by the child’s parent or guardian on the day of the party.

• Due to legislative restrictions no child under 3 years old is allowed in the Småland facility nor anyone over the age of 10 years old, including parents or guardians.

• Due to IKEA OH&S guidelines naked flame is not permitted anywhere instore. We are unable to have lit candles on birthday cakes.

• You MUST let us know of any children needing support or allergies by asking parents or guardian to fulfill the enrollment form for their child. Child without a complete form won’t be allowed to into Småland.

• Payment is arranged via a secured online payment facility.

• 2 IKEA qualified child care co-workers will be assigned to ensure the smooth running of the party in Småland and in the restaurant. In the restaurant, parents and guardians are responsible for the care of the children. IKEA co-workers will be there to assist.

• Adults are not allowed into Småland, including parents and guardians.

• If needed, party forms can be collected from IKEA Richmond. Children’s parties available at IKEA Richmond only.

• Bookings require 2 weeks notice and are subject to availability. Payment must be received 2 weeks prior to the the birthday event date.

• Småland will be reserved for your group during your allocated time.

• The $100 gift card for FAMILY members will be issued if at least 10 children attend and can be collected the day of the birthday party only.

• The price for a birthday party is: $15 for each child; IKEA FAMILY members receive a $3 discount per child.

• Invitations are supplied via email.

• No refunds are made for children not attending the event after the booking and confirmation is made.

Confidentiality of Enrolment RecordsThe proprietor of the children’s service must ensure that the information in the child’s enrolment record is not divulged to another person unless necessary for the care or education of the child, to manage medical treatment of the child, where expressly authorised by the parent or prescribed in the Children’s Services Regulations 2009 (regulation 25(1)(d-e)).

Parents - All parents have powers and responsibilities in relation to their children, which can only be changed by a court order. The Children’s Services Regulations 2009 refer to these powers and responsibilities as “lawful authority”. It is not affected by the relationship between the parents, such as whether or not they have lived together or are married. A court order, such as under the Family Law Act, any take away the authority of a parent to do something, or may give it to another person.

Guardians - A guardian of a child also has lawful authority. A legal guardian is given lawful authority by a court order. The definition of “guardian” under the Children’s Services Act 1996 also covers situations where a child does not live with his or her parents and there are no court orders. In these cases, the guardian is the person the child lives with who has day-to-day care and control of the child.

Proprietors are reminded of their requirement to comply with the Information Privacy Act 2000, which requires a Privacy Collection Statement to accompany any enrolment form.
