Oh, Lord. I give my soul to you; I seek your care and love. No other blessings do I need but those from you above. Lord, I ask you; give me faith, and help me understand.

And, Lord, when I this life shall leave, just hold me in your hand. Lord, I stretch my hands to you; no other help I know.

Scripture Acts 21:1-14 NT Page 141-142

Sermon Where He Leads Me, I will Follow Rev. Jamie Armstrong Our Acts story today concerns Paul’s journey back to Jerusalem. Paul was always on the move for Jesus, and he is on the move again, this time to Jesus. Paul believes this is the way the spirit wishes him to go…and despite the objections and the pleas from his friends, travelling companions, supporters and followers, Paul will not be deterred.

Even when the prophet Agabus takes his belt and binds him, saying that the man who wears this belt will be bound – hand and foot – and handed over to the authorities, Paul will not be deterred. He will not take flight in the face of fear. He will walk in faith into the valley of the shadow of death. And they are left to say, your will be done.

It is almost an unutterable law of the universe - those who refuse to move with Jesus are left by Jesus. Where might God be prompting you and us to move today?

Take Me Out to the Ballgame Alive with Christian Activity announces an event coming in July! Currently on the Winston-Salem Dash schedule for Tuesday, July 26 there is a deal for the price of a regular ticket ($11-$13) you get into the ballgame and eat all the hot dogs and hamburgers you want through the 7th inning.

So, check your calendar today—would you and your family like to participate in this event? Contact Judy Deal (336-956-6150) or sign-up at the Volunteer’s Desk to let us know that you are interested.

As the date draws near, we will contact you to confirm your interest and ask for payment. Remember, payment will need to be made before tickets are or-dered. Everyone is responsible for their own transportation to and from the game. Fidget Quilts Judy Deal would like to begin making "Fidget Quilts" for local rest homes. What is a Fidget Quilt? Fidget Quilts are therapeutic quilts used to stimulate shut-in elderly patients and anyone suffering from brain trauma and impairments. They are especially useful for Alzheimer and Dementia patients for their restless hands.

The quilts can be quite small so they won't easily fall off the lap of the patient. A good size is 20" by 25" and can be easily completed without a lot of time involved.

Some of the items used in the making of a fidget quilt are: Fabrics with texture (corduroy, fleece, fake fur, terrycloth, sateen, brocade,

velvet, or lace) Fabrics with patterns with movement, bright colors and high contrast Used clothing with zippers, pockets, buttons, belt loops, etc. (donate the

clothing items leaving zippers, pockets, buttons, and belt loops attached) Rickrack, laces, braids, ribbons, trims, and ruffles Colorful men’s ties Rolled batting

If you have any of the above items that you would like to donate, contact Judy at 336-956-6150.

If you are interested in helping make the fidget quilts—NO sewing experience is required—contact Judy.
