SPECIFIC SITE FACILITY NEEDS
Each site has specific list compiled from 5-year facility needs plan and Board walk-through facility needs list.
Proposition P would: – Repair and replace leaky roofs– Replace deteriorating plumbing systems– Upgrade outdated and inadequate electrical systems– Modernize classrooms, restrooms, and facilities – Replace old heating and ventilation systems

System wide usage monitoring
ENERGY SAVINGSDistrict currently spends approximately $1 million on electricity and $200,000 on water use every year.
Solar panels and more efficient heating and air conditioning will cut total energy costs by at least 60%.
Reclaimed water should cut water use by 50%
Total annual savings to District = $700,000
Can be used to keep class sizes small!

CONFIGURATION OF K-2 CLASSROOM
All K-2nd grade classrooms will consist of the following tools for teaching and learning:

Funds set aside for technology endowment refresh (5 -7 year replace / repair)

Proposition P Details
Bond extension similar to 1996 election

OTHER FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
With the passage of Proposition P, EUSD may also be eligible for:
- Solar installation rebates
- Joint use grants for Technology Center
- State construction matching funds
