Chicago Lock at Night The Army Corps of Engineers had a problem. The Chicago River Lock had just been renovated to handle both private and heavy-duty commercial traffic, and they needed a detailed, dramatic picture to prove it. The solution? They hired Tigerhill Studio. They had been a customer for over ten years so they knew we could deliver. So, before dawn on December 12th 2012, in a low-flying helicopter, between the rolling clouds of fog, John captured a series of high resolution images of a large barge passing through the Chicago River Lock showing the Chicago skyline. John got the boat they wanted, the lock they wanted and the skyline in the background. A rare occurrence. Client thrilled. Mission accomplished.

The Chicago River Lock had just been renovated to handle both private and heavy-duty commercial traffic, and they needed a detailed, dramatic picture to prove it. The solution?
