04 - 213Synthesis of 6-Amino Acid Substituted 4,6,7,12-Tetrahydro-4-oxoindolo[2,3-a]quinolizines. — Acid-catalyzed cyclization of N-dioxobutyl-substituted tetrahydrocarboline (I) followed by esterification withN-Boc-protected amino acids (IV) provides the title tetrahydrooxoindolo-quinolizines (V) in good yields.
