The process lasts 30 minutes, a maximum of 15 minutes in a chosen area and can be used to disperse fat in areas such as thighs, hips, stomach and arms. The ultrasound waves are delivered in pulses breaking down excess fat. The hand piece is used by the consultant gliding over the targeted area. You feel a very slight energy pulse, but there is no discomfort or soreness during or after treatment. In between sessions you should drink plenty of water, keep alcohol consumption to a minimum and ensure you are active to encourage lymph flow and blood circulation, which supports the removal of fat cells from the body. The number of sessions required depends on how many inches you want to lose. Two treatments per week are recommended over a 6 to 8 week period. Noticeable results are often visible after between 6 to 8 sessions, where you can expect to see smoother, firmer skin, a reduction in cellulite and reduced levels of body fat. A course of treatments can range from a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 20 sessions in any one area, and will vary depending on the area and volume of fat being targeted and the inch loss required. As this is a new treatment for most, Ultra Sound Slimming are inviting clients for a free consultation at their new salon in the Promenade, Cheltenham. So why not make an appointment and pop in during your next work break or shopping trip and make the most of their free consultation and offer to readers.

New Hullabaloo Festival dates Organisers for the Hullabaloo Festival at Burley Fields Lake have reluctantly had to postpone the Festival

until the August bank holiday. The Festival, originally due to take place at the start of the Jubilee weekend

from 2nd – 4th June, has had to be rearranged because of the huge amount of rain Leckhampton has seen

recently. Organisers were told that even if we experienced a nice dry spell, the ground would not be dry

enough to cope with the planned crowds and events. The Festival organisers have said, “We decided not to

delay in making the decision to reschedule so that the performers, artists, traders, ticket holders and

everyone else involved have the best opportunity possible to re-arrange their plans for the bank holiday.

We would like to thank everyone for being so patient with us and all those that have tried so hard to

participate in August”.

The Hullabaloo Festival is described as “A celebration of Gloucestershire, its landscape, its art, its music, its

food and drink, its culture (both contemporary and traditional) and of course, its people.”

With over 10 bands each day on the main stage, the best local produce Gloucestershire has to offer, acoustic

music, poetry, comedy, craft and children’s events, the Festival promises to be the perfect place to wile

away a (hopefully dry!) August bank holiday weekend in the Cotswolds.

The Festival will now be taking place on the new dates of 25th-27th August (August Bank Holiday

Weekend). Tickets already purchased for the original June festival dates are valid for the corresponding

day of the August Festival.

Ticket prices start from £10 for adults and £5 for children. For more information or to purchase your

tickets please visit www.hullabaloofestival.co.uk or email [email protected]

Little Leckhamptonites win the cup!

Leckhampton School Infant music group delighted

judges and audiences at the Cheltenham Festival of

Performing Arts in May, winning the Infant School

Music Making category. The music group made up

of 39 children aged 7 and under, performed a piece

about an Indian warrior going on a buffalo hunt.

The adjudicator praised the performers for their

enthusiasm and ability to work well together, saying

that she ‘could almost see the charging herd of

buffalo!’

Congratulations and well done to Mrs Crompton and

the Infant Music Group – rock on!

Through a Glass, Darkly

Parabola Arts Centre has a new exhibition taking

place, featuring local artist P J Crook.

Drawing on ritual and meditative practice, myth

and religious symbolism, Through a Glass, Darkly is

a mixed-media exhibition of soulful work that

speaks of mystery and struggle, peace, hope and

love.

Throughout the ages, religious art has gifted us

glimpses of rarefied life. Its potent symbols and

images are enduring. Magical, visionary,

challenging, it has the power to transfigure the

everyday into something other.

Cheltenham painter and sculptor P J Crook was last

year awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday

Honours for services to art. You may have seen her

3 life-size horse sculptures around Cheltenham

Town.

The exhibition in the gallery is open to the public

12-5pm Mon-Sat from 7 – 16 June. Exhibitions are

free and do not require booking. For more
