Course Description
This course deals with research preparation methods, research tools, research proposals, and the
implementation, presentation and publication of research work.
Prerequisites 4th year standing
Objectives
After completing this course, the student must be able to:
Understand the basic concepts of research and its methodologies
Identify appropriate research topics
Select and define appropriate research problem and parameters
Prepare and present a research project proposal

ChE Research Proposal
The final result of this course is a comprehensive ChE RESEARCH PROPOSAL.
For this project, students will be placed in groups to work jointly for the preparation of ChE
RESEARCH PROPOSAL.
There will be 3 presentations of progress reports before the final presentation of the proposal.
Comprehensive guidelines and templates will be given in the succeeding sessions.
Consultation with Instructor
A facebook group shall be created for the course that will serve as an interactive message board
for consulting with the instructor and communicating with classmates and as a means for sharing
electronic course materials.
