Diploma of Counselling

By successfully completing a CHC51015 Diploma of Counselling, you will have developed and demonstrated the high level communication and counselling skills and knowledge required to work within the community services industry.

This nationally recognised VET qualification includes 17 units of competency clustered into 9 modules. You must successfully complete all of the assessments for all of the modules, in order to be gain the qualification.

Students are eligible to join the Professional Counsellors Association of Australia (ProfCAA) as Student Members and as Professional Members on completion.

Entry RequirementsStudents applying for a VET Student Loan must meet the VET Student Loan criteria to be considered eligible. This criteria can be found on our website www.jigsaw.edu.au. Should you meet the eligibility criteria you will then need to show academic suitability. This can be done by providing a copy of a Senior Secondary Certificate of Education (year 12 certificate), or evidence of successful completion of an Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) Certificate IV or higher qualification (where the language of instruction is English).If you don’t have any of the above, you will be required to complete approved Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) reading and numeracy tests at Exit Level 3 or above. If required, we will organise these tests for you at no additional charge.IT Requirements:Students require access to the following IT resources:• A computer with a broadband internet

connection and internet browser• A word processing application• A spreadsheet application• A presentation application

Course Delivery and DurationThe training is delivered over a period of 12 months.

With Jigsaw’s self-paced learning, you will be allocated a trainer who will be in regular contact and assist you through your studies. Trainers also hold frequent online interactive sessions with other students or individually for teachings, role plays and more.

You receive full access to your assessments online as well as additional readings, videos and more.

Your trainer is also available to answer any questions via email or telephone during office hours, including during the online classroom sessions.

Course Cost & Payment Options

The maximum tuition fee for Jigsaw Training Group’s Diploma of Counselling is $9999.00. Students accessing VET Student Loans will be required to pay additional loan fees as part of their loan agreement with the Australian Government.

Please note: Jigsaw Consulting Group Pty Ltd trading as Jigsaw Training Group will not approve a VET student loan for someone who does not meet the eligibility requirements.

Jigsaw Training Group offers payment plans for those who are ineligible.

VET Student Loans is a HELP Debt that needs to be repaid when your income reaches the Minimum Repayment Threshold. This is current $54,869.
