HOPE IN ACTION It is truly amazing when people of so many different backgrounds, with varying passions, gifts, and abilities come together to perform a ministry. Great churches, international relief agencies, and even great local service agencies are all formed when people of faith come together to serve a cause much greater than themselves. The Community Hope Center is just such an agency. You cannot look at a building or any individual or group of individuals and say they are the Hope Center. It is made up of so many different kinds of people, corporate directors, department directors, business people, church leaders and laymen, volunteers, individual donors, promoters, and a host of prayer supporters. We who comprise the Hope Center ministry serve a client community who annually make over 7,400 visits to our facilities and receive food and donation services for over 22,000 individual family members. Our food pantry collects and distributes an average of 1,860 pounds of food each day. We annually distribute over $350,000 worth of food and over $1,000,000 worth of donated clothing, household items, toys, furniture, and small appliances. Our dedicated staff of volunteers makes up a work force valued at over $32,000 monthly and devotes over 31,000 hours of donated labor each year to the ministries of the Community Hope Center. HOPEIN

ACTION

It is truly amazing when people of so many different backgrounds, with varying passions, gifts, and abilities come together to perform a ministry. Great churches, international relief agencies, and even great local service agencies are all

formed when people of faith come together to serve a cause much greater than themselves.

In short, the Community Hope Center is a very large community of people working each day to provide hope to the hopeless and extending the love of Jesus Christ to all in need.

none, and the one who has food should do the same.” John 3:11

The Community Hope Center was established in April of 1988. The primary purpose is to help the poor, homeless, children and the elderly in the Illinois area with programs that meet their individual needs. The Center is Faith-based and is solely supported by local businesses, foundations, private donations and receives no government funding. Your financial partnership is key in continuing to help families in need.

The Center is a full service crisis emergency center that provides diverse programs which are offered free of charge to those who are less fortunate. Each program is designed and implemented to help families out of their crisis situations as well as minister to each individual the message of Hope through Jesus Christ.

HOPE FOR SENIORSSeniors with limited income find a helping hand during critical times. Many live on a limited budget and must choose whether to buy food or their medicines. They depend on our food, clothing, household items and medical services to supplement their income.

HOPE FOR EDUCATIONParenting classes, computer classes, resume/interview skills and meal planning classes are provided to those in need free of charge.

HOPE FOR FOODFamilies that are unable to supply the basic needs for survival can receive food once per week from the Community Hope Center pantry free of charge. Hours of services are: Monday-Wednesday and Friday from 9:00am -12:00pm.

HOPE THROUGH MINISTRYEach time a client walks through our doors they get one on one time with a volunteer minister. This is where we get to share the gospel, pray and help them with other local resources such as utility referrals, job resources, etc.
