Remember, all levels of hole sponsorship is tax deductible! Need a little more incentive to get involved? For every $100 hole sponsor that your family secures, your name will be placed in a drawing to win a one-child enrollment fee waiver for the 2015-2016 school year. Let's get out, play a little golf, and help raise money for our students. You may contact the office if you have further questions.

SUMMER SKILLS WORKBOOKS: Studies show that much of what is learned during the school year is lost over the summer months. Summer Skills Review Books provide students with a review of materials taught the previous year, and can give them an academic edge and self-confidence when they return to school in the fall. Workbooks available include math and language arts for students in grades 2-5, or pre-algebra, algebra 1, geometry, or high school math books. If you would like to see an example, or would like to order a workbook(s), stop by the school office or visit the website www.summerskills.com. They are $18, and orders are due to the school office by May 1.

THE YOUNG FAMILIES ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS is starting a new series entitled Angels and Demons this coming Sunday. We will discuss what the Bible has to say on this topic. Drop off your little ones at Sunday School at the ECE building or in the nursery and join us. We meet down the ramp of the church and to the left (the nursery is to the right) in the choir room. We gather starting about 9:45 and start at 10. Call/text Rachael Hamre 580-362-0893 if you have any questions.

YEARBOOK: If you haven’t purchased a yearbook yet for last school year, please stop by the school office; they are $20 each. Be gathering your pictures together for this years’ yearbook, we will be asking for them soon. Remember, the best way for your child to have pictures in the yearbook, is for you to submit pictures of them! We will send out instructions soon on the different ways to submit your photos for the yearbook.

OKLAHOMA STATE REGENTS FOR HIGHER EDUCATION has announced that it will have Summer Academies at 17 different Oklahoma colleges and universities. These science, math, engineering, and technology academies are for Oklahoma residents who will be entering the 8th – 12th grades in the fall of 2015. Subject areas include biomedical sciences, aviation, robotics, meteorology, engineering, and more. To find more information about the Summer Academies Program, please visit their web site: www.okhighered.org/summer-academies, or you may call 1-800-858-1840 to request information by mail.

MIDDLE SCHOOL 3/24 Basketball/Cheer Banquet 3/27 Spring Dance, 7-9, Gym 4/9 Graduation Pictures for 8th Grade

4/13-17 Cheer Tryouts, 3:30 – 4:30 4/13 Chisholm Track Meet

STUDENT COUNCIL-MRS. GOLL: We’ll see you at the luau! Join us for our spring dance this Friday from 7-9. Dress

is beach casual. DJ Max will be at the mic! Mrs. Harbeson: Welcome back, Everyone! I hope you had a fabulous Spring Break and are ready to finish out the

school year with your best effort! It's hard to believe that we only have 9 weeks left of our school year. My Spring Break was about what I expected...lots of sitting around and recuperating. My surgery went well, and I'm hoping to be back running around really soon! Thank you, Everybody, for the beautiful flowers and card that you gave me. That was really sweet of you all! I also want to thank Mrs. Hanson for checking on me and keeping me company all week, and to Mrs. Schatte, Mrs. Powell, and Mrs. Goll for the delicious dinner you brought me and the family last Friday. You all are the best! Please check out my webpage to see what's going on in class this week. (There might be some extra credit this week! Wink, wink...) That's all for now. Blessings on the rest of your week!

Mrs. Hanson: Cheer tryouts will be April 13-17, every day after school from 3:30-4:30. Tryouts are open to any current 6th or 7th Grader.

6th Grade has started a new chapter on work and power. Ask your student the real definition of work, and don't be offended if they say your occupation is not work. ;)

Page 4: Chatter 3 25 15

7th Grade still has their heads in the clouds exploring the atmosphere. They will be moving into weather with this chapter and it's a perfect time of year in Oklahoma to study weather! Our 7th Grade auction project is a money tree. Each student needs to bring $20 worth of gift cards or $20 toward the purchase of a gift card. If you do not already have gift cards lying around, please consider buying script gift cards from the office.

8th Grade is tracing their genetics through their own family tree. Parents, please help your students learn more about their family, preferably even past their great grandparents. If you know of any genetic disorders or diseases in your family this would be a great time to share them with your student, not to scare them but to help them learn about heredity. ;)

Thank you to all who have donated for the Makey Makeys! If you would still like to donate please visit the front office.

Mr. Covert: The fourth quarter has started! This year has flown by and we’re almost to the home stretch. In 8th grade, we’re moving on to the period after the Civil War, focusing on the development of the West. 7th grade has moved on to the last part of Europe, Eastern Europe, as we look at what has shaped the Balkan region. In 6th grade, we’re about to wrap up the Vikings and leave Europe at around 1050 AD as we move around a bit to discuss the various empires that had sprung up around the world.

May God bless everyone as we move closer to the fulfilling of His promise of salvation for us in the empty tomb! Mrs. Goll: Welcome back! I think we all enjoyed spring break and are ready to do our best as we finish this school

year. All math students are being asked to create a CK-12 account. CK-12 is an educational site that provides many resources for learning. I especially like their short math videos that explain basic concepts. Ask your student to tell about the videos we’ve watched in class lately. Students may receive 10 extra credit points this week by having you sign a math paper from this week that indicates you have seen it and reviewed it with your student. Blessings on your week as you continue to Seek Him first.
