CHATTANOOGA FOOTBALL CLUB
Chattanooga Football Club is a semi-professional soccer team, which participates in the Southeast
Conference of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL). Chattanooga FC seeks to provide quality soccer
matches and a family friendly environment at Finley Stadium in downtown Chattanooga. The team is
comprised of high-level players holding amateur playing status. Chattanooga FC serves to develop players
and as a showcase for professional coaches.
MISSION STATEMENT
Chattanooga FC aims to build community and civic pride by creating a semi-professional soccer team with
regional talent and by producing a positive economic impact by making Chattanooga a destination for
soccer enthusiasts, both at the semi-professional and youth tournament levels. We are driven first and
foremost by love for the game, for Chattanooga, and for our fans.
CHATTANOOGA SOCCER CULTURE
The Greater Chattanooga Area boasts 5 separate youth soccer clubs, with over 50 travelling teams and 750
players. There are also numerous recreational soccer leagues totaling over 200 teams with thousands of
registered players. Within a 45 minute drive, there are 6 collegiate soccer teams as well. The Hispanic
population in Chattanooga has almost doubled in the last 8 years to over 15,000. Dalton has three separate
soccer leagues with over 250 teams currently playing. There are now 2 Hispanic leagues in Chattanooga
with 43 teams, up from 12 just two years ago. Championship Day for one of the leagues draws around 500
people to watch the games.
CHATTANOOGA FC’S CONNECTION TO CHATTANOOGA
The demographic profile of the typical
Chattanoogan soccer fan is middle to
upper class, well-educated, and loyal to
the game. There is also significant
opportunity in the region to attract the
growing Hispanic community. Both of
these mature markets make
Chattanooga FC a very attractive option
for sponsors and advertisers.
Chattanooga FC spent enormous efforts
in the 2009 campaign to build a strong
social media presence including Twitter,
Facebook, Flickr, and a well-managed
website. The team’s Facebook page now boasts over 1,800 fans, which is almost twice as many as the MLS
franchise the LA Galaxy! The following on Twitter is now at 650, the most of any semi-pro soccer club in the
US. The club led the country in attendance in 2009 averaging over 2,000 fans per home game. Each game
experienced significant attendance growth over the previous game and we expect this trend to continue. It is
our hope that we average over 4,000 fans per game in 2010.

COACHING STAFF
Brian Crossman, Head Coach and Technical Director
Coach Crossman has held a USSF “A” License for twenty-five years. Brian coached collegiately for thirty-
three years (the last twenty-one at Covenant College), compiling a record of 306 wins, 110 losses and 29 ties.
He was voted region/area coach of the year six times and district/conference coach of the year nine times.
Brian led Covenant College to the NAIA National Tournament twice. Presently, Coach Crossman is a
professor of Physical Education at Covenant College, serves as national chairperson of the Ethics Committee
for the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, and is the Director of Soccer for Lookout Mountain
Soccer Association.
Jimmy Weekley, Assistant Coach and Director of Player Development
Jimmy holds his NSCAA Premiere Diploma and the USSF “C” License. He has coached at the collegiate level
at both Covenant College and Flagler College, and is currently serving as the Head Coach of the Girl’s
Varsity Soccer Team at The Baylor School in Chattanooga. Under his leadership, the Baylor girls soccer
team has been state champions or runner-up nine of the last eleven years, winning titles in 1997, 1999, and
four straight from 2001-2004. He also coached the Baylor boy’s team to state titles in 2000 and 2007.
Jimmy has also won coaching accolades such as the NSCAA/adidas Region Coach of the Year for the South
Region among Private/ Parochial schools and was nominated for National Coach of the Year in 2002. As a
player, he played collegiately for Florida Southern and Covenant College. He also played semi- pro soccer
with the Chattanooga Express before joining the Atlanta Magic professional indoor team while winning 2
National titles with the Atlanta Magic.
