Page 2: Chapter5 Branding of Global City (What is a Global City?)

What is a global city?

There are various methods to be known as attractive city , in order to give healthy impressions to be a business partner. If you are seeking the right partner, you must talk about "What you can do for yourself" at fast (On the other word, give them cule for new endeavour with you). By participating well-organized strategic communications among cities, we must be set international business ethic and common norm from the beginning, in order to minimize meaningless time spending. Fortunately, there are various ways to be known as attractive city (viz. Olympic, Tourism, Sports, Entertainment, Quality of works, Cultural, Social security, so on), and we can easily get good(or biased) information by technology-devices nowadays. As long as we are using common infrastructures for professional purposes, we should think about “What is globalization and how to minimize tragic incidents ?” As in professional strategy, there is no space for malfunctions.

Let’s spacify globalization and then think “What we can do for "our future.

Cultural Characteristics

~ To be popular as economic leading city without explaining “Why”, namely, New York, Los Angeles, Paris, London, and Tokyo, are commonly referred without needing of spacify their country.

This is so useful for business opportunity.

Page 5: Chapter5 Branding of Global City (What is a Global City?)

Cultural Characteristics

2. Renowned/establishing Cultural Institutions, such as notable museums and galleries, notable opera and ballet theater, orchestra and music concert halls, film festivals and carnivals.

Those types of mature lifestyle is important factors for not only local people but also tourists. Having alternative choice of attractive amusements (viz. sports, arts, entertainments , so on) will be fascinated with citizens and tourists to be a livable city. And they do not have to worry about wasting time by transportation if we can provide all of various amusements at one place.

I can talk with performers who are seeking new opportunity for promotion around the

world with my passion and wisdom.

Page 6: Chapter5 Branding of Global City (What is a Global City?)

Cultural Characteristics

3. Several influential outlets with international reach such as BBC, Thomson Reuters, The New York Times,

Agence France Presse.

People, who want to visit other cities, will research via internet before travel. We can collaborate with local tabloids and local broadcastings. And they must provide those service by multiple language (English, Chinese, Spanish, German, so forth ) with simple structure such as infography.

In order to make this project so meaningful (transparency) , we have to set own internet-broadcasting studio around world for prevent misleading of projects.

Cultural Characteristics

5. Educational Institutions: Example ~ Renowned Universities, International Students Attendance, Research Institutions

What we should not to do is following copy of existing strategies which are already confronting dead end. I meant it is totally wasting of our time so we should concentrate on professional subjects which have already been achieving certain quality (viz. biofuel, cell engineering, gene therapy ,so on) and we will be able to enhance existing ontology with this project and our crews.

Page 9: Chapter5 Branding of Global City (What is a Global City?)

Infrastructural Characteristics

Need international shipping ports nearby global cities to reduce Co2 emission and for saving time and cost. *Zero emission (By using biofuel or other renewable energies) is key subject for energy problem.

Page 17: Chapter5 Branding of Global City (What is a Global City?)

Infrastructural Characteristics

13.A major international airport that has a role for transit hub for several international airlines with significant passenger traffic, international passengers traffics, and cargo movements.

Once we are addressed as top global city, we need special management for running the airport. And also motivative work environment will bring about good services so we should create flexible work manual and modify it annually by professional acknowledgement. Ideally we should set flight and engineering school for airline safety. So we can educate many people who want to be pilot/ control operator/ engineer at our facility with the best people and best environment.

Page 18: Chapter5 Branding of Global City (What is a Global City?)

Infrastructural Characteristics

14.An advanced communications infrastructure on which modern transnational corporations rely, such as fiberoptics, Wi-Hi, telecommunication services, and other high speed lines of communications.

Let’s talk about later.

Page 19: Chapter5 Branding of Global City (What is a Global City?)

Infrastructural Characteristics

16.Prominent skylines/skyscrapers.Under consideration ~ In recent trend for urban design and construction tend to be more ecological (viz. Sustainable building, Green technology, recycling, biodiversity, e.t.c) so we should think city's design as urban art. Page 25: Chapter5 Branding of Global City (What is a Global City?)

Political Characteristics

20.A larger proper, population of the municipality ( the center of a metropolitan area, typically several million ) or agglomeration.

Totally depending on tradition and economic growth, I mean we must support education for immature citizens until their maturity. Otherwise social problems will be suffering long time.In addition, we should headhunt genious people by offering special life environment to induce effective economic/society growth for mature lifestyle.

Page 26: Chapter5 Branding of Global City (What is a Global City?)

Political Characteristics

21.Diverse demographic constituencies based on various indicators: Population, Habitat, Mobility, and Urbanisation.

Global city must have responsibility for its inner cities/ suburbs/ rural areas. So we should simplify "Global city planning" for social engagement and bonding. At the end of day, we will be able to chance to have various options for second/third life after retirement.

Page 27: Chapter5 Branding of Global City (What is a Global City?)

Maturity of society is totally depending on Economic growth. To be global city has roughly two advantages for society. And it will help globalization and will attract foreign investors.

Page 32: Chapter5 Branding of Global City (What is a Global City?)

new members.

Page 33: Chapter5 Branding of Global City (What is a Global City?)

Economic Characteristics

27.Provide a variety of international financial services, notably in the Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate sectors (FIRE economy), Banking, Accountancy, and Marketing.

Set up healthy regulations at the beginning of development, otherwise we might be stuck with problems which are difficult to solve lately.

Page 34: Chapter5 Branding of Global City (What is a Global City?)
