CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION
A. Conclusion
Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that:
1. Films enhance the eighth grade students’ writing skill of SMPN 4 Madiun in
the academic year of 2013/2014. The mean of the pretest achieved by the
students in experimental group who were taught by using film as teaching
media was 68,89. Meanwhile, the mean of the posttest of the same group was
75,59. So, the percentage of the students’ improvement of this group was
6,97%.
2. How does songs enhance the eighth grade students’ writing skill of SMPN 4
Madiun in the academic year of 2013/2014. The control group who were taught
with song as teaching media was also showed the improvement. The mean
score of the control group was 67,69 for the pretest and 74,11 for the posttest.
There was less improvement in this group than the experimental one, it was
only 6,77%.
3. There is a significant difference of writing skill achieved by the eighth grade
students’ writing skill of SMPN 4 Madiun in the academic year of 2013/2014
who have been taught using films from those taught using songs. It is
characterized by the t test results showing that taccount = 1,797 and ttable =
1,671 for df = 62 and level of significant 5%, taccount > ttable. These results
indicate that writing skill of the eighth grade students of SMPN 4 Madiun in

the academic year of 2013/2014 who are taught using film as teaching media is
better than the writing skill of students taught by song as teaching media. Thus,
the Brain Gym method that use in learning English is influenced students’
vocabulary skill in the 4th grade students of Kincang 03 Elementary School in
term 2010/2011.
B. Suggestion
Based on the result of the study, the writer proposes some suggestions
concerning the research finding as follows:
1. For the teacher, the teacher should introduce and use the different media in
teaching and learning process like film. It is highly recommended to be used
because film as teaching media can be used for teaching writing recount text
for Junior High School students. The teacher should enlarge their knowledge to
find out many kinds of media which is appropriate for teaching English lesson.
They must prepare the lesson material well, they use interesting media and
apply more variation of strategy in teaching. Teacher should able to create
teaching learning process more interesting, enjoyable, and educative. Besides,
they must be able to choose a good writing material for the students, so that
they can improve their writing comprehension. In short, the teachers should be
able a facilitator in creating and building an effective writing class.
2. For the students, the students should be more attentive with the strategy and
media given by the teacher. If the students are not comfort and bored with the
way of their teachers’ teaching media, they should ask their teacher to change

or give them different learning strategy which more acceptable and easily for
the students to grasp the lesson.
3. For future researcher, they can use this final project as a literature to guide
them when they want to do the similar research. This research will help the
researcher or further research to find out the new strategy which is supported
and combined with film as teaching media through writing a text. Although
this study has been done, it still has some weaknesses and the researcher hope
there will be an improvement for the next study.
