    smarter

    Specific: What exactly do you hope to achieve, and in whatcontexts? Can it be broken down into smaller, more specific steps?

    Measurable: How will you recognize success in pursuing theobjective? How will you measure your progress along the way?

    Agreed. Whose support or authority do you need to pursue the

    objective? Realistic. Are you able to achieve the objective within the constraints

    of your

    current abilities and commitments, your available time andresources?

    Time-bounded. By what date do you want to achieve the objective?

    Evaluated. Is the objective worth pursuing, given the investment intime or effort it will require?

    Reviewed. When and how will you review your progress?
