Chapter 1. Introduction

LightTools란

• a set of optical modeling tools

• set up, view, modify, and analyze optical systems graphically (like CAD!)

• specialized ray tracing tools

• LightTools Core Module + add-on modules

• LightTools uses commas to separate coordinate values and white space to separate the data from the command.

• View > 2D Design means to click the main menu item View and then click the submenu 2D Design.

• Command input is printed in boldface Courier font. For example, DXY 12,3,7 means to enter the command DXY (i.e., shifted point Δx,Δy,Δz), followed by the amounts of the shifts.
