From the Bowls Victoria PresidentBarbara GilbertBowls Victoria welcomes you to the Champion of State Pennant for both Saturday and Midweek Pennant. All twelve teams in each event are to be congratulated for winning their way through to compete for the title of State Club Champion in Pennant for the season. You should all be proud of this achievement alone.

We wish to acknowledge and thank Moama BC for their generous sponsorship of this event and we are sure you all will enjoy the amazing facility and everything it has to offer.

We all know how much effort goes into running an event and Bowls Victoria wishes to thank all the support crew including umpires (of which many are from the local area), greens staff and all the staff and volunteers at Moama BC who provide assistance and make this club our home during the running of both events.

To all competing players we wish you every success on the green and hope that you will make and renew friendships and that every game will be played in the true spirit of our sport.

Conditions of Play1. Laws of the Sport of Bowls - 1. Laws of the Sport of Bowls - Crystal Mark 3rd Edition January 2015 where applicable will apply including 2015 Bowls Australia Domestic Regulations where applicable.

2. Event Eligibility - The separate Champions of State Pennant events for both Saturday & Midweek will be contested between the winners of Regional Division 1 Pennant winners and winners of the Metropolitan Midweek Pennant elimination play-off and the Saturday Premier Division winner.

3. Side Format - Sides must contest these championships as per the Conditions of Play employed when they qualified at Regional Final level.

4. Side Selection - Each Region will nominate up to 14 players from which three teams of four will be selected for each game. Should there be change in the composition or playing position of the intended teams for any game the Tournament Director must be advised prior to the commencement of the game. Side Manager is not permitted to play unless they are also listed as one of the two emergencies.

5. Play will be conducted in two sections of six region winners which will be determined by an open draw

6. The two section winners will play a knockout final to determine the State Pennant Sides Championship winning region side.

7. All section round Matches will be of 15 ends duration per rink, with a time limit of 2.5 hours (150 min).

8. One trial end in each direction is permitted prior to the start of the first section round only on each day of play.

9. Any team not ready to commence play at the scheduled starting time shall, on appeal to the Umpire by the opposing team, have the first end awarded against them and be penalised 8 shots

10. Play will not begin until notification is given, and the finish of the game will also be given in the same manner by whatever means are at the disposal of the event organisers.

11. If the Jack is made dead after notification that time has expired it will be re- spotted on the centreline 2 metre mark and play will continue until the end is completed.

12. Club’s which have two or more sides in a division’s top division pennant competition and are successful with one side winning their Regional Final shall be permitted to choose its best side from all eligible affiliated members.

13. An eligible member is one who had played at least four Pennant games with the club during the season in the respective Competition.

14. Sectional Scoring will be:

2 points for each round won.

1 point for each round tied.

15. Section Winners will be determined by Bowls Victoria Rule for Competition 4.

16. Final of 18 ends duration per rink (No time limit) or as otherwise determined by the Controlling Body.

Special Conditions Applying for to this Event as per the Bowls Victoria Rules for CompetitionSmoking is strictly prohibited at any Sports Event in NSW, Moama BC permits smoking only on the concrete path behind the middle green in front of greenkeepers sheds (ashtrays are on the poles of the shelters) this is in addition to the BV smoking ban contained in Bowls Victoria Rule for Competition 1C v)

Please be mindful that penalties will apply if this Special Condition is not adhered to.

Consumption of Alcohol of any type is not permitted as per Bowls Victoria Rule for Competition 1C(viii) by any participating players whist the match is in progress under any circumstances – Penalties’ may be including forfeiture of match.

Mobile phones are not permitted on the green at any time for any reason by players.

The controlling body always reserves the right to alter the conditions of play if deemed necessary.

Coverage will be on all three days of the event.On Friday April 27, one match will be televised live from 3pm to approximately 6pm.

On Saturday, three matches will be shown - with coverage between 8.30am to 6pm.
