Chaminade's 1988 team completed the first undefeated season in school history,compiling a record of 14-0, and won the 4-A State Championship for the first time

From 1987-1992, the team compiled a record of 100 wins and only 5 lossesin dual meet competition, including a school record of 19 consecutive wins

Baseball: 1942-45, Captain 1944-45; Infielder/Pitcher;Hit .422 as a sophomore and .375 the next two years;

8-1 record pitching as a senior; Catholic League All-Star as a junior and seniorFootball: 1941-44; Played both offense & defense;

Caught most passes on team as a senior; Catholic League All-Star all 4 yearsBasketball: 1941-44; Captain 1943; Leading scorer his junior & senior years;

Played on the US Marines' fast pitch softball team against the Kenosha Women’sAll-Star team that beat the Marines 2-1. Don had two of the three hits

for his team and drove in the only run.

Upon discharge from the Marines, he was offered aminor league contract by the St. Louis Cardinals.

All-Metro, All-State, and All-CAC 1976; Anchored the offensive line for #1 rankedteam by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and ranked #2 in a state-wide poll

Baseball: 1974-77; Played varsity all 4 years; Co-Captain 1976 and 1977;All-Metro and All-CAC 1977; Won the decision in a 22-4 rout of Codaso as a freshman;

Pitched team to state playoffs as the Flyers swept the CAC and Districttournaments with a CAC record of 9-1 and an overall record of 16-5-1,

including a 12-game winning streak in 1977Basketball: 1975-76
