It wasamazing!ThankyouverymuchtoourScienceFairchairsPiyushGuptaandLindaMori, and all the volunteers who made the event possible! Eager ReaderwrappeduplastFriday.Itappearswehadalotofreadinghappeningoutsideofschool. The tallies are impressive. Congratulations toall theparticipants.Andagain thank you to our Eager Reader chairs Jennifer McCommon and LisaMitchellformakingthiseventasuccess!April4thisSTEMnight.Thisisanewand exciting event this year. There was a last minute push for morevolunteers.Thankyoutoallthatsigneduptohelp.

Upcoming Parents Night Out
Karate West is offering Parent’s Night Out every month to Challenger Students. 6:30-9:30pm – dinner is included!

On A Personal Note:
As some of you are aware one of our Challenger families is fighting cancer. I don't know Hunter, Brad, or Krista Jones personally, but I do know I want to help in some way. I want to send good thoughts and words of compassion. I want to try and ease a little of Brad and Krista's financial worries so they can focus all their love and attention on Hunter. I want them to know they are not alone. But honestly I didn't know how to do any of this without being intrusive. Others have also asked how they can help. I had persons close to the Jones family ask what I can do as an individual and what our community can do to help and here are things they shared....
The family has sent up a Hunter Jones Caring Bridge page to keep everyone up to date on what's happening. This is a place to read Hunter's story and the latest updates. It's also a place to post notes to Hunter and his parents. www.caringbridge.org A Go Fund Me Page has been set up to help offset some of the financial burden that comes with fighting cancer. https://www.gofundme.com/hunt er-jones-medical-health-fund This is also linked to Hunter's caringbridge page. A Family Picnic to benefit The Healing Hunter Jones Fund is being arranged for May 12th. Information will be available at www.healinghunterjones.org by Monday 4/10.
