Wondering Which Way to Go?

Ask Your Parent Navigator! Guiding Families to Supports

what resources are out

there, and how to

access them;

- Are wondering who can

answer questions about

your child’s academic,

emotional and/or social

well-being;

- Want help connecting

to services and systems

to get your child the

right help and support.

Since 1997, the Nova Scotia International Student Program has welcomed students from around the world into homes across Nova Scotia. Working in partnership with the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, students are given the opportunity to improve their English language skills while learning first-hand about life in Canada. Eligible students come from all over the world and are carefully matched with Nova Scotian host families with the help of our dedicated homestay coordinators. Students range in age from 8-18 years old and stay anywhere from one month to one year. Participating in the Program can be a life changing experience for both students and their host families. We are currently looking for Host Families for second semester, please contact us if you are interested. You can check out the NSISP website https://nsisp.ca/become-host-family. If you have any questions we will point you in the right direction. Get involved today!
