Con trol engineers design and develop the algorithms and software that give systems agility and balance, as well as the ability to adapt the environment, learn and discover when confronted with non- linearity’s and uncertainty . The theory of control is intimately intertwined with the creation of systems for intelligently reducing large amounts of experimental and historical data to simple mathematical models that can be used either for forecasting or to design automatic control systems. The Centre for Control System has chalked out to take up research work in important areas like robust modeling and identification, Intelli gent Control, Robot locomotion and manipulation. 1. Robust modeling and identification: Modeling and identification procedures of real processes should be designed having in mind their specific purposes. Although identification techniques have always taken into account typical requirements of control tasks, recent improvements in high performance robust and adaptive control theory ask for the study of special identification procedures tailored to these advanced control techniques. Motivated by the advances in high performance robust control, the research communities in identification and robust control have started a synergetic work by stressing their similarities and complementarities. In the robust control field a worst-case approach is usually adopted which guarantees the desired performance for the worst-case uncertainty realization. 2. Intelligent Control: Intelligent control is a class of  control techniques that use various AI computing approaches like neural networks, Bayesian probability, fuzzy logic, machine learning, evolutionary computation and genetic algorithms.

CENTER FOR CONTROL SYSTEMS

The Centre for Control Systems is headed by Mr.C.Kamal Basha, Associate Professor, Dept. of E.E.E. He is pursuing Ph.D. from JNTUA, Anantapuramu in the dept. of Electrical Engineering. He has about 10 years of teaching and 5 years of research experiences.

The department is offering M.Tech. in Electrical Power Systems since 2010, besides offering B.Tech. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering The M.Tech. Programme was started during 2010 with an intake of 18 and the intake was increased to 36 in 2011.

A team comprising of 2 faculty members, specialized in Instrumentation and Control systems is monitoring the R&D works. This team has bagged 14 publications and another few are geared up to publish in various journals and conferences. The faculty members of this team have participated in 6 conferences and 8 workshops/trainings programmes. A Minor Research Project proposal has been submitted to UGC with entitled INVESTIGATION OF CERTAIN CONTROL STRATEGIES ON BLDC MOTOR WITH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE APPLICATION.

The department of EEE has established Control Systems and Simulation lab exclusively for its students. The department, which gives priority for enhancing the practical skills of the students, has been encouraging for publications, research work and attending of industrial tours that arranged by the department. Control is about automation and intelligence. Control engineers design and develop the algorithms and software that give systems agility and balance, as well as the ability to adapt the environment, learn and discover when confronted with non-linearitys and uncertainty . The theory of control is intimately intertwined with the creation of systems for intelligently reducing large amounts of experimental and historical data to simple mathematical models that can be used either for forecasting or to design automatic control systems.

The Centre for Control System has chalked out to take up research work in important areas like robust modeling and identification, Intelligent Control, Robot locomotion and manipulation. 1. Robust modeling and identification:Modeling and identification procedures of real processes should be designed having in mind their specific purposes.

2. Intelligent Control:Intelligent controlis a class ofcontroltechniques that use various AI computing approaches likeneural networks,Bayesian probability, fuzzy logic, machine learning, evolutionary computation andgenetic algorithms.

3. Robot locomotion and Manipulation:Inroboticsamanipulatoris a device used to manipulate materials without direct contact. The applications were originally for dealing with radioactiveorbio hazardousmaterials, usingrobotic arms, or they were used in inaccessible places. In more recent developments they have been used in applications such asrobotically-assisted surgeryand inspace. It is an arm-like mechanism that consists of a series of segments, usually sliding or jointed, which grasp and move objects with a number ofdegrees of freedom.List of National / International Journals:
