That is where Robert’s battery decided to die. After some high level negotiations, Hugh removed the battery from his TT truck and put it in Robert’s Depot Hack. Hugh said that was no problem since he had a spare battery (which turned out to be dead). Our new friend Dwain who was also driving a TT truck said no problem and after he cranked Hugh’s TT truck to life, we were on our way to the next mission on the tour. Mission San Juan.

On August 6, 2016 several members of the Cen-Tex Tin Lizzies joined the T Fords of Texas and the Alamo A’s with their now annual Spanish Missions tour of San Antonio. President Robert Norberg and Juan Barraza, Bob and Karen Ross, and John Anderson and his guest Jim Cunningham traveled to the Texas Transportation Museum on Wetmore Road and met with Hugh Hemphill, President of the T Fords of Texas. We unloaded our Model Ts and along with some other folks from San Antonio driving Model Ts who unloaded their cars and trucks, we followed Hugh Hemphill in the museum’s TT truck to the start of the tour at Mission Espada. Minutes of the July 2016 MeetingAt 7pm on July 19,2016, President Robert Norberg called the regular monthly

meeting of the Cen-Tex Tin Lizzies to order. There were 23 members and no guests present. Robert asked if everyone had read the minutes of the last meeting as written in the Band Chatter Newsletter and if so were there any additions or corrections to the minutes. There were none, so Joe Pinnelli made a motion to accept the minutes as written and J.C. Carter seconded the motion. Motion carried. Cynthia Hadorn gave the wellness report and stated that Corky Stanley was still being cared for by Hospice and her condition continues to be the same. She also noted that Karen Ross is here one month post-op of her shoulder surgery and will begin out-patient therapy tomorrow. Jan Donnell gave the treasurer's report.George Brunner made a motion to accept the report as given and Jeff Treadwell seconded the motion. Motion carried. Randy Brown, our webmaster stated that the web site is working well and no glitches recently. Robert stated that Cynthia and Steve Hadorn brought refreshments tonight. J.C. Carter will be giving the program. John Anderson will bring refreshments and giving the program next month. Joe Pinnelli reported that the July 4th parade went well and the fried chicken at Mrs. Latham's was "good eats" as usual, and Carlton was happy to host the club at his home again. The Fredericksburg Swap Meet will be on July 29th and 30th• The T Fords club invited us to join them on August 6th in San Antonio for their mission tour. Remember the T Party is in Stephenville this year and if you haven't registered, then you had better hurry as the deadline for registering is very near. Kingsbury Fly-In is in November. Joyce Shierlow agreed to order the pins that some of the members have been inquiring about. New Business: Bill Stevens said that the movie people need someone to help work on the Model T's to keep them in running condition. It seems that they are having problems with ignition and fuel with some of the cars. July 25th they will be at the Driscoll Hotel and have 10-12 cars there. Jeff made a motion for Bill to find out how much they will pay and what kind of work they will need the second weekend in August. Randy seconded the motion. Randy Brown also said that he has a '26 C Cab Truck for sale, in good running order. Show and Tell: Vic Donnell brought a low band that is worn and frayed on the end; Randy Brown brought a set of antique checkers and checker board, also a book about a yellow hen. Randy won for the best show and tell. After the break for refreshments, the 50/50 drawing was held and J.C. Carter won $39. He donated it back to the club. J. C. gave the program about different hobbies. Bob Ross made a motion to adjourn the meeting and George Brunner seconded the motion. Meeting adjourned at 8:45 pm.

Howdy Folks,Well we certainly are in the dog days of summer, it’s been a little warm lately and things just seem to go a bit slower with the heat. We had 5 members and 1 guest brave the elements for the San Antonio Missions tour, it was a great time and we got to socialize with members from both the “T Fords of Texas” and the San Antonio Model A club. It was nice to be invited and I’m sure we will be invited again. This tour takes place in the heat of August every year on purpose, as an opportunity to get the T’s out when there is not much else going on. If you have ever lived up north you know that the cars are usually only on the road for about 6 months of the year and get put away from about October to May. We are very lucky to live in Texas where we can drive our cars almost all year long, but we do tend to hide a bit around August and that’s what this tour is for.Bill Stevens has been working on the arrangements for the club to receive a large donation in exchange for some of us going out and getting some Model T’s running for the movie people. We have tentative dates set up for Wednesday Aug 17, 2016 and Thursday Aug 18, 2016, If any of you can squeeze any time out of your schedules, your club could sure use some help. This is a rare opportunity for us to grow our bank balance, which is something we need to do for the future of our club. We should have everything finalized and more information at the meeting on the 16th.Till next monthRobert NorbergPresident
