• Skeletal– Striations add strength– Linear

• Cardiac– Striations– ‘Y’ shaped (branched)

• Smooth– NO striations– Linear

Nerve Cell

• Sends and receives electrical signals

Epithelial Cells

• Lines and protects

Bone (Osteocyte)

• Form in rings– Circle shape withstands

greatest amount of pressure

• Creates bone

Egg and Sperm

• Sperm– Small body with long tail• Allows quick movement

• Egg– Large– Contains resources for

growing fetus
