COME OUT TO PLAY

Last year’s Celebrity Masters was great fun and a huge success, with OMEGA ambassador Michael Phelps and True Detective’s Michelle Monaghan claiming the top spot. In 2018, the brand will once again bring glamour and golf to the mountains, in the second edition of the ”OMEGA Celebrity Masters”, set to tee off on Saturday, September 8th following the tournament.

Known worldwide for their talents in entertainment and sport, the chosen celebrities will now have a chance to show their precision and skill on the iconic course in Crans-Montana. After the profes-sionals have played through, the tournament will begin with 9 holes of golf for some of OMEGA’s famous guests, followed by a putting challenge for all celebrity players on the 18th hole after the last flight. Star-filled fun that shouldn’t be missed.

ALFONSO RIBEIRO

•Alfonso is an American comedian, director, singer, dancer and tele-vision personality. Famous for his co-starring role as Carlton Banks on the sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Ribeiro now hosts Ameri-ca’s Funniest Home Videos. Alfon-so also won Dancing with the Stars in 2014.

CODY SIMPSON

•Musician Cody Simpson is a global phenomenon, garnering critical acclaim for his last two releases from the likes of Rolling Stone, Billboard and MTV. An environmentalist and philanthropist, Cody has done extensive work with the Special Olympics and is the UN’s first ever Ocean Advocate.

•John Terry is a recently retired professional English football player who captained the English national football team from 2006-2010. BRIAN O’DRISCOLL

•Brian O’Driscoll is a retired Irish Professional Rugby Union Player. He captained the Ireland National Team from 2003-2012. He was inducted into the World Rugby Hall of Fame in 2016. O’Driscoll now works as a Rugby analyst for BT Sport and ITV Sport UK.

DIDIER DÉFAGO

•Didier Défago is a retired World Cup alpine ski racer from Switzerland. Didier made his World Cup debut at 18 after claiming 3 medals at the Junior World Championship, and was Swiss national champion two years in a row. At the Winter Olympic Games Vancouver 2010, he won the downhill at Whistler to become the Olympic champion.

•Since winning a silver medal at the 2017 World Cup, Swiss Alpine Skier Théo Gmür has been unstoppable. The popular athlete achieved na-tional fame at the Winter Paralym-pic Games PyeongChang 2018, where he claimed three gold med-als for his home country.

Every great sporting event needs a commentary team and for the 2018 Celebrity Putting Challenge, OMEGA has called upon the services of Michelle Wie and Bastian Baker, two celebrities in their own right. The friends of OMEGA will be behind the mic for the entire game, to keep spectators up with the play. Professional golfer Michelle Wie will be on the green to offer the players expert tips. Singer songwriter Bastian Baker, no stranger to keeping the crowds entertained, will provide the shot-by-shot commentary. Spectators can expect a fun day and may even learn some professional golfing tips.

Michelle Wie is a professional golfer with five victories on the LPGA Tour including the 2014 U.S. Women’s Open at Pinehurst Resort, Course No. 2.

In addition to her long list of am-ateur and professional golf ac-complishments, she is a graduate of Stanford University with a de-gree in Communications. Michelle has been an OMEGA ambassador since 2006.

BASTIAN BAKER•

An OMEGA ambassador since 2014, Swiss-born Bastian Baker has sold out enormous headline con-certs, topped the album charts and racked up a slew of major awards. His debut album peaked at #3 (behind only David Guetta and the Red Hot Chili Peppers) and went platinum in Switzerland. He followed it up with a pair of al-bums that hit #1 and #2 on the charts. Now living, writing and performing in Nashville, Bastian is completing a new record and joined Shania Twain on her 2018 worldwide tour.
