ne of the most common can-cers in women known as breast cancer can be treated successfully if

detected at an early stage. The number of breast cancer cases have been rising at an alarming rate across the globe. One of the most common cancers in women, breast can-cer can be treated suc-cessfully if detected at an early stage. It can even affect younger women and beginning from 20 years of age, regular screening and self-examination is re-quired say doctor Dr Alok Modi Medical On-cologist.

He says we encourage women to become famil-iar with their breasts and report any changes to their doctor as soon as possible. When a woman feels a lump, it is usually not during a self-directed monthly exam but rather when she notices it by chance.

Most lumps women feel are not cancer, but they should be i n v e s t i g a t e d with mammog-raphy and ultra-sound because

you can't determine if it's cancer by how it feels. A core biopsy is needed in most cases to confirm. Around 1 in 6 women who are subse-quently diagnosed with breast cancer come with a symptom other than a lump. The researchers discovered that women who have a sign of breast cancer other

than lumps are more likely to wait to see a doctor than women who do not have lumps. If the cancer isn't detected promptly, this could put them in danger of hav-ing a poorer outcome added Dr Modi.

SYMPTOMS OF BREAST CANCER WITHOUT A LUMPBloody nipple discharge: While nipple bleed-

ing may be min-imal and dif-ficult to per-ceive, pay at-tention if you

your bra. Regular physi-ologic changes during the prepubertal phases can result in clear or milky discharges. How-ever, if the secretions are unusual, bloody, or persistent, consult your doctor.

LYMPH NODES IN THE ARMPITThe lymph nodes are in

charge of filtering lymph fluid and

d e t e c t i n g c h e m i c a l changes that indicate the

presence of an infection. Doc-

tors refer to these filter

points as axi l lary

lymph nodes. Because axillary lymph nodes are so close to the breasts, they are fre-quently the first places where breast cancer spreads after it has pro-gressed beyond the breast tissue. Common-ly required for any form of breast cancer treatment. If cancer has advanced to the ax-illary lymph nodes, a doctor may advise re-moving the lymph nodes as part of the treatment to remove the cancerous cells.

CHANGES IN THE NIPPLEChanges in the nipple area could indicate can-cer, but nipple retraction when the nipple be-comes inverted could be a sign of genetic abnor-mality or change. Con-sult your doctor if your nipple gets inverted af-ter not being inverted previously.

CHANGES IN THE COLOUR, AND THICKNESS OF THE

BREAST SKINAny dimpling or thickening that re-sembles an orange peel is a warning sign. These signs and symptoms are frequently linked to inflammatory breast cancer.

Apple is a good source of anti-oxidants, fibre, water, and sev-

eral nutrients. It has healthy components that are good for health, and eating them is linked to a lower risk of many major diseases, including diabetes and

cancer. An Internation-al Apple Day was initi-ated by Common Ground on October 21 in 1990, at an event in Cov-ent Garden, London. By

2000, the day was cele-brated in more than 600 events around the Unit-ed Kingdom, and since then it has been cele-brated in each subse-

quent year. It has grown from a simple celebration of the apple to a recogni-tion of cul-tural and ge-netic diversity in food that should not be al-lowed to pass from the world, a perfect day to cele-brate good health. Ap-ples can be eaten and enjoyed in various means like apple pie, ap-

ple sauce, apple crisp and everything related to apple, not only on Ap-
