Nathan (name meaning “gift of God”) was born November 20, 1991 and was united with his forever family with His

Father Marcus Loveless a year later and was baptized and confirmed Nathan Alexander Thaddeus.

Nathan was admitted and attended Francis Parker, the Loop Lab and Peirce schools for elementary and primary

education. He attended secondary education at Uplift and Malcolm X City College for secondary and undergrad.

He was an aspiring Hip-Hop artist of KSK Records, Inc. and has worked at Ann Sather’s Restaurant and African American

Black Contractors of Chicago. He was a member of St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church where he has master the art of making

coffee for the 10:30 Gym Mass Social Hour. He was member of the National Rainbow PUSH Coalition and Coalition for

Justice and Respect (CJR). Nathan also participated in the Boys and Girls Club of Chicago, Broadway Youth Center (BYC)

and the Center On Halstead (COH). He was also a member of the other social organizations in the LGBTQ Youth

Organizations.

Nathan was conversational in English, Spanish, French, Arabic and Street and Sign Language. The names he is known by:

Nate, NTL, POLO and Alexander (his middle name). The names he earned are: Munch-A-Bunch or “Munch” (because he

loved to eat; EVERYTHING ALL OF THE TIME!), The Boy (which he declared one day, I’m not the Boy my name is

Nathan!!!), and Marshmallow (Given to him by a 6th grade Teacher who said that even though he would put on a tough

exterior, you find out real soon that he’s as soft as Marshmallow inside). Whatever you knew him by or called him, what

is unmistakable is that when you met him you liked him.

He had wit beyond his years and a sense of humor that was unmatched by peers or those older then himself.

His full but short life on earth took him too many cities and unique expresses including visiting the White House, the

Congressional Black Caucus, Disney World and Universal Studios - Great Escapes.

He had to find his way, on his own and through a winding road he cleared his path for his future which included

announcing over Thanksgiving his intent to marry his new Fiancé while working on his art of music and looking to sustain

himself with manual work, God called him to better journey from this earth and made he made his transition on

December 9,2013.

He was preceded in transition by his Grandmother Margaret, Great Grandmother Idonia, Grandfather Benny and a many

Great Great Aunts and Uncles.

He leaves to cherish his memories His Father, a Foster Brother and many Brothers and Sisters and Surrogate Mothers

and God-Mothers and host of Cousin’s and family members in Detroit and Chicago,

His Fiancé and many friends.

On Children

Kahlil Gibran

Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts, For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you. For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth. The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far. Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness; For even as He loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable.
