Additionally, we have spent the last few months enhancing many areas of the resort and guest experience, so some exciting surprises await! You will certainly enjoy the new amenities throughout the Peninsula Papagayo community. Most importantly, don't miss the expert-led activities and curated experiences available through Papagayo Explorers Club (PEC). You can find them at the Nature Center and two of our beaches.

Dance Class:Guided dance class where you can learn basic of how Costa Rican people dance and move to the best Latin rhythms. Show your moves at Chao Pescao later!

Pottery Painting:Learn about the Chorotegas' painting techniques and have fun making pottery to take home!

Beach Scrub:Join our beach scrub activity at Playa Sombrero Oscuro: making and applying a homemade exfoliating scrub of oil, honey, sand and yogurt.

Yoga:New to yoga? Start here with beginner yoga sequences, basic moves, poses, and stretches to increase strength and flexibility. If you are more experienced in this millenial practice, join our Power Yoga sessions, Intermediate Yoga classes or the special Couples Yoga Lesson.

Family Olympics:An excuse to spend some fun quality time with loved ones.

Snorkeling:Join our guided tour around the maritime area from Sombrero Oscuro Beach to Sombrero Claro Beach. There you will enjoy amazing marine life unique to Culebra Bay.

Kayak:Explore Culebra Bay and enjoy a beautiful view of the peninsula forest. The tour begins at the main beach and will then take you closer to areas with fascinating species like puffer fish, rays, sergeant fish and more.

Mountain Bike Tour:There are many health benefits that are associated with cycling. Let us show you a few of these benefits with a tour offering stunning views of Peninsula Papagayo and learn more about our natural surroundings.

Magical Mangrove Tour:Few experiences are more magical than touring our protected magroves by canoe or water bike. Explore a unique ecosystem of eerie “walking trees” able to survive and thrive in salty water, creating a rich refuge for wildlife.

Wilderness Hike:Monkeys and parrots and hawks, oh my! You never know what you’ll encounter in the wilderness of Palmares Beach. This moderate hike leads deep into the forest, where you can witness plants in all shades of green and animals in their natural habitats.

Zumba:Combine different rhythms (Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Chachacha, Reggaeton) and work out at the same time.

Cookie Making Class:Cookies are not as simple as they look. Our pastry team will share their secrets and tips in this hands-on class.

Cooking Experience: Join our Chefs in our amazing open kitchen and learn how to prepare easy recipes, from a delicious guacamole to Costa Rican traditional dishes such as Chorreadas and Gallo Pinto.

Market Festival:Experience a traditional Costa Rican street market. Feel like a local enjoying Latin American dishes and buying original arts & crafts from independent designers and artisans.

Pacific BBQ at the Beach House:Friends in Costa Rica love to get together at the beach to enjoy a delicious BBQ. Come and join us!

Entertainment:

Sunset Cruise:Watch the sky paint with infinite shades of red and yellow while you cruise the bay in our Nimbu boat.

Movie Night:We created an entire cinema experience for you. Enjoy the movie, have some popcorn and create memories with your family and friends.

Live Music at Chao Pescao:Live Latin Music every night at our local neighborhood bar Chao Pescao.
