The Cedarville University women's soccer team hosts the Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats tonight in a non-conference battle at Yellow Jacket Field.

Cedarville, 6-1 overall, enters tonight's game on a three-match winning streak with victories over Earlham College, Grace College and Ohio Dominican. Indiana Wesleyan, members of the Mid Central Conference, bring a 2-3 overall record into the match including a 3-0 win over Walsh in their most recent action last Saturday.

Senior Jane Adams, last week's AMC Player of the Week, continued her scoring outburst on Tuesday with a goal and three assists. She is Cedarville's all-time leader in goals {37), assists (33) and points (107). The 5-8 forward from South Hadley, MA leads the 2004 Lady Jackets with 5 L..lia..._ .... goals and 8 assists for 18 points. Sophomore for- JaneAdams

ward Karen Ruhlman is second on the squad in scoring with a team-leading six goals along with three assists for 15 points. Classmate Lisa Blackburn, a 5-4 forward, has registered four goals and three assists for 11 points. Senior keeper Jessica Balser has allowed six goals while posting 24 saves. She has registered two shutouts with a .89 goals against average. Cedarville has scored 22 goals while allowing 6 and holds an overwhelming 67-31 edge in shots on goal.

The Wildcats of Indiana Wesleyan are led on the offensive end by Aubrey Pepper. The senior midfielder has tallied three goals ad five assists for 11 points to pace the squad. Junior keeper Roxanne Rudrick has allowed 4 goals in five games for a .91 goals against average.

Indiana Wesleyan leads the all-time series with the Lady Jackets by a 6-0 tally including a 4-0 shutout win over Cedarville last year in Marion.

Jane Adams scored a goal and tied a school record with three assists to lead Cedarville to a 4-0 win versus Ohio Dominican in their AMC South Division opener on Tuesday. Karen Ruhlman added a goal and an assist as the Jackets continued their best start in the program's eight-year history at 6-1.

Adams scored the first goal in the 5th minute on Ruhlman's assist. Then Adams, who is already CU's all-time leader in goals and assists, set up the final three goals. Her pass to Lisa Blackburn resulted in a score with just two seconds left in the first period for a 2-0 halftime lead.

Erin Baranski pushed in Adams' corner kick in the 55th minute and then Ruhlman's goal occurred when she cleaned up an Adams shot that banged off the right post with just -under four minutes remaining. Jessica Balser made four saves in goal and notched her second shutout of the season.

The Lady Jackets continue their six-game home stand with a non-conference contest against Ohio Northern University on Tuesday, September 21 at 5 pm. Cedarville will face Tiffin University one week from tonight with a 5 pm kickoff in an important American Mideast Conference South Division battle at Yellow Jacket Field. The home stand will finish with contests against Otterbein College and Malone College (Homecoming).
