Cavelero Mid High School is excited to have the WeatherBug forecast for Lake Stevens. The WeatherBug
program partners with King 5 news and you will occasionally see our weather station information highlighted
by meteorologist Jeff Renner. The data collected by our weather station will also support our students and
staff in our science and health classes! To view please click on the link below. http://weather.weatherbug.com/WA/Lake%20Stevens-weather/weather-cams/local-cams.html

STUDENT PICK UP AND DROP
OFF To assist us with student safety please do not
pick up your students in the bus loop parking
lot area. Buses are coming and going and
students are walking throughout this parking
lot. Also, it is getting darker in the morning
and after school hours. Please look for stu-
dents and other vehicles as you enter and
leave our school. As always, please use the
student pick up area in the front of the school
and pull forward to allow all parents access
to drop off and pick up their students .
Thank you for all of your help!

9TH GRADE STUDENTS AT CAVELERO SERVE AS PAGES THIS LEGISTLATIVE SESSION
Madelyn Prescott, Parker Stewart and Karlie Kildall, 9th grade students at Cavelero Mid High
School, served as Pages this legislative session in the Washington State Senate and the House of
Representatives, in Olympia. These students were sponsored by state Senator Steve Hobbs
and Representative Hans Dunshee. Pages perform a wide variety of responsibilities, from present-
ing the flags to distributing amendments on the House or Senate floor. Pages live with a host family
for their service week. In addition to contributing to the efficient operation of the Legislature, pag-
es receive daily civics instruction, draft their own bills, and participate in mock committee hear-
ings. What an exceptional experience with our government. Our students are in excel-
lent company, paging in Olympia was also Bill Gates first job!

Cavelero considers regular attendance to be a necessary part of student learning. We believe regular attend-
ance instills a sense of responsibility in each student that will carry over after their time here. With this in
mind we have an attendance policy which states a student may lose credit if they exceed 10 (excused or unex-
cused) absences in any semester. Students are allowed to retrieve up to 5 excused absences through their at-
tendance at Saturday School or after school Study Corral. If you have any questions regarding attendance
please contact Shanna Pyzer in the Attendance office at 425-335-1629 or email

STUDENT PICK UP AT LUNCH If you need to pick up your student during lunch for an appointment please have your
student bring a note to the main office in the morning. That way your student can come
down before his or her lunch begins and be ready to go. Thank you.
REGISTRAR INFORMATION
If you have an address or emergency contact change please
contact our registrar, Mrs. Perfect-Reading @ 425.335.1634

Balloons in School
Parents/Guardians:
We ask that balloons not be brought to school for
your student’s birthday. If the balloons get loose in
the building and ascend to the ceiling they can set off
smoke sensors.
Thank you.
