Sela Carton CajonLots of cajon for little money

The Sela Carton Cajon is an affordable and great sounding alternative to a wooden cajon. Built up and played the audience will be astonished: “Can a cardboard sound like that?” With its powerful bass and the distinctive snare sound, it can compete with many beginners‘ wood cajon right away.

This is achieved by a sound-optimized cardboard with a continuous sound space and an ingenious construction with a real snare wire. The robust material allows a weight of up to 120 kg. It is easy to set it up and to fold it up again. When folded up, space-saving storage and transport of a larger number is possible.

The Carton Cajon is available in two sizes: Mini (height 37 cm) for children and teenagers and Standard (height 45 cm) for adults. This makes it ideal for group lessons, events or workshops and is therefore a favorable entry level cajon for beginners. Ideal for schools and kindergartens.

The CaSela is entirely handscrewed and not glued, so each part can be replaced if damaged.

CaSela Pro: Simply press the snare lever back for turning the snare sound on or off. The ergonomically optimal position of the lever enables a lightning-fast switching while playing. When the snare is deactivated you get a traditional Peruvian Cajon, with a fine response and conga-like sound. After years of research we have managed to make the Sela Snare Head better, with an even more differentiated snare and bass separation now.

Thanks to the Sela Snare System, it is possible to insert a second Sela Snare Head. Through that you get a lot of snare. This is especially popular among flamenco players, for latin grooves and for musicians who generally prefer a “crispy”, assertive sound.

With the small piece of foam that is inserted into the hole of the Snare Head the sound of the snare effect can be modified. The more you you pull out the foam, the more snare effect you will get. If you push the foam further inside, the snare effect is dampened and quieter.
