The new Xitan Z Power range of poles has been purposedesigned as hybrid poles a new generation of multi-taskpoles that can be used for all types of fishing. By using state-of-the-art materials and manufacturing techniques a fine balancebetween weight, rigidity and strength has been achieved. Thesepoles are as equally at home scratching for small fish withlight tackle as they are being used for the most demandingstyles of modern UK commercial carp fishing.

The design brief was to eliminate many of the irritations foundwith other poles, e.g. sections that will not slide through thehands; long and/or heavy power kits; exorbitant spares prices;section jamming or falling apart! We have addressed thesecommon problems and many, many more in order to producewhat we believe to be the most complete pole on the market

today.

The Xitan range has a pole for every budget and for everyneed - beginner to expert. All poles in the range are built ona common mandrel which provides an easy upgrade path tofuture models and all poles are constructed using Nano-Carbonfibres to reduce weight while greatly improving strength anddurability.

Browning Xitan Z Power the only pole you will ever need.

The Xitan Z9 is our flagship pole for 2010 and is without doubt thebest pole that we have ever produced. Very stiff, strong and light it isthe perfect choice for the expert angler. Extreme rigidity and absenceof bounce make the pole perfect for fishing shallow and with veryshort lines. This pole is supplied at 16 metres but during field testingwas found to be easily fishable at 17.5 metres.

The pole is manufactured using the highest quality carbon clothavailable to us. By incorporating our Nano-Carbon technology wehave been able to make the Z9 both very strong and very durable;brittle sections that break unexpectedly or on even slight impact area problem of the past! The joint areas have a visible woven overwrapto minimise wear and add further strength. This also ensures that the

joints do not lock up under l oad when trying to break down thepole under pressure from big fish.

The butt sections are strengthened to prevent elbow and spray bardamage and are finished with a special paint finish to improve shippingin damp conditions. This complements the s tandard microfine sandedDiamond Surface finish of the lower sections.

To maintain the poles superb balance the 16 m package of the Z9 issupplied with our multi-purpose, light weight but very strong Power

Match Kits. The Z9 will easily take 14 solid or 12/20 hollow elastics.Packs into 14.5m with separate 16m extension.

The Xitan Z7 and Z9 poles are supplied with Power Match Kits. These3 section top kits are purpose designed to be used as both power kits andmatchkits. They are made of the same high quality carbon as the pole so aresuperbly light and will not unbalance the pole. With the tip section fitted theyare perfect for elastics up to a no.8 fitted through the tip and second sections.By removing the short tip a large internal bush can be fitted directly to thesecond section to create a very light, 2.5m two piece power kit that can beused with 16 solid or 12/20 hollow elastics. The kit is very stiff so elasticsalways run smoothly, it is also very light and totally eliminates the top heavyfeel that is often caused by conventional power kits. Try these and you willnever use a real power kit again!

The PMK will fit all of the Xitan range and also the Carboxy and formerBeryllium poles. It has a 22mm joint size so will also fit a large number of polesfrom other suppliers.

Power Match Kit Concept (PMK)

The Xitan Z7 Power provides a mid-priced alternative to the Z9 andsets a new performance standard in this price range. The Z9s qualityand manufacturing standards have been maintained while usingslightly different materials.This is a strong, stiff and reliable pole which maintains its rigidity up to16 metres and will cope with everything and anything. All sectionshave high wall strength and will not distort under the pressure oflanding big fish. The use of Nano-carbon fibres makes the pole verydurable and able to shrug off knocks and bangs of catching bigweights of fish. The butt sections are strengthened to prevent elbowand spray bar damage and are finished with a special paint finishto aid shipping in damp conditions. This complements the standardmicrofine sanded Diamond Surface finish of the lower sections.The pole packs into the 13m section and has a very slim butt diameter.The Z7 is supplied with multi purpose Power Match Kits and will easilytake 14 solid or 12/20 hollow elastics.This is the perfect allround workhorse pole for all styles of fishingand offers top end performance at a mid-range price.

Like its more expensive sisters, the silver Xitan Z3 sets a new levelin its price class. Never before have anglers been able to experiencethis level of Browning quality in a pole of this price range. Our testengineers worked hard to benchmark our previous poles at this pricecategory and were successful in improving the pole with excellentvalue for money. The sag over 13 m is just 38 cm; pole specificationsanglers could only have dreamed of years ago.The top four sections of the pole are identical to the Xitan Z7 and Z4,

enabling both models to share the same Power and Cupping Kits aswell as the 4/1 Kit. A short fourth section can be used to adapt todifferent top kit lengths and further stiffen the action; a useful optionin many situations.Like all Xitans, the Z3 is produced from nano-carbon and finished withmicrofine sanding and precision points.
