19 SEPTEMBER TO 31 OCTOBER OUR FESTIVAL CIDERS Marston’s Pedigree Amber ABV 4.5% Now with added personality. We haven’t changed the beer our drinkers know and love just how it looks. It has a fascinating aroma, with a palate of biscuit malt, spicy hops and light fruitiness. George Peard was our head brewer when Pedigree got its name that’s him on the clip. Cheers, George. Otter Ale Pale Brown ABV 4.5% This pale brown well-balanced beer has a predominant hop and malty taste and aftertaste. Adnams Broadside Red Amber ABV 4.7% Brewed with pale ale and chocolate malts and First Gold hops, this is a dark ruby-red beer, rich in fruitcake aromas, almonds and conserved fruit. Robinsons Trooper Golden ABV 4.7% With its unique blend of Bobek, Goldings and Cascade hops, this deep golden ale has malt flavours and citric notes, plus a subtle hint of lemon. Bombardier Burning Gold Golden ABV 4.7% Awaken your senses with zesty aromas; let the fresh crispness tingle your taste buds and enjoy a smooth, lasting finish. Its sweet and soft taste comes together to produce a wonderfully light and refreshing golden ale. Greene King Abbot Ale Chestnut ABV 5.0% Warming, malty and fruity, this beer’s pale and amber malts contribute to a mouth-filling and satisfying biscuity maltiness. Challenger and First Gold give a base note of herbal hops, while Fuggles (as late hopping) offers the main fragrant fruity, floral and spicy notes. It is fermented slowly to give just enough fruity esters. Shepherd Neame Bishops Finger Amber ABV 5.4% This is a connoisseur’s beer, with excellent credentials and pedigree a silver-medal-winner in the Daily Telegraph Taste of Britain awards. Snails Bank Fruit Bat ABV 4.0% This crisp apple cider is blended with strawberry, raspberry and blackcurrant perfect over ice on a freshly mowed lawn. Lilley’s Mango ABV 4.0% This aromatic sweet cider is expertly blended with exotic mango to create a mouth-watering tropical flavour. Lilley’s Rhubarb ABV 4.0% Crisp Somerset cider and tangy rhubarb are expertly blended to make this taste sensation. Sweet and full of rhubarb flavour – with a tart edge to it. Gwynt Y Ddraig Happy Daze ABV 4.5% This cider has a fruity appley aroma and a well-balanced finish. This light and very easy-to-drink medium cider has a flavour which exceeds its strength! Celtic Marches Cracklin’ Rosie Perry ABV 4.5% This perry is made from 100% pressed pear juice. It is a medium perry with a fine and delicate taste it is light in colour, with a very slight green hue. Sandford Orchards Devon Mist ABV 4.5% Not every cloudy cider has to be a challenge this is a gentle joy with rich autumnal fruit and a satisfying finish a real revelation this year. Lilley’s Apples & Pears ABV 5.2% Made from 88% pear and 12% apple, this is sweet in flavour, with a mouth-watering, almost exotic, taste. Celtic Marches Thundering Molly ABV 5.2% This is a well-rounded medium cider, made from a blend of bittersweet and sharp cider apples. Fresh and fruity, with a lovely apple aroma, it is a gorgeous golden colour, with a balanced finish. Sheppy’s Draught ABV 6.0% This clear draught cider is a traditional blend of cider apple varieties. Awarded Cider of the Year 2014, by CAMRA. Aston Manor Knights Malvern Gold Cider ABV 6.0% This is an award-winning, medium-dry reserve cider, golden-amber in colour. Rich’s Legbender ABV 6.0% This cider is traditionally produced with a blend of cider apples grown in Somerset. It’s a full-flavoured, crisp, clear, still cider, making it easy to drink but beware – it can make you go weak at the knees! Thistly Cross Whisky Cask ABV 6.9% This flavoursome cider is made potent in the oak of a Glen Moray whisky cask, with a good few lingering tastes to be savoured on the tongue. Initially, its gentle whisky flavour intermingles with a subtle, medium-dry cider note. Lilley’s Bee Sting Pear Cider ABV 7.5% This sparkling medium-sweet perry is oozing with subtle flavours and has cult status among many of its devotees. Lilley’s Gladiator ABV 8.4% This strong rustic medium cider, with its Roman flair, has everything: it is well rounded and fruity, packed full of flavour and intoxicatingly easy to drink for an 8.4% cider. Otter Ale Pale Brown – ABV 4.5%This pale brown well-balanced beer has a predominant hop and malty taste and aftertaste.

Butcombe Original Amber – ABV 4.0%Butcombe Original is a Mendip masterpiece. This chestnut-coloured bitter is hoppy, crisp and incredibly moreish, made with best Maris Otter malt (the Rolls-Royce of malts), together with a blend of English hop varieties.

Skinner’s Betty Stogs Copper – ABV 4.0%Copper coloured, with a light malty aroma, a floral, even cedar taste and a sharp tangof bitter grapefruit, this is an ale which has the strength of character to take on tasty dishes like stews, hard cheeses and meat-packed pasties.

Fuller’s London Pride Pale – ABV 4.1%With its well-rounded flavour and rich history, everything about this authentic, characterful beer binds it to our capital city and the people who love it.

Charles Wells Bombardier Dark – ABV 4.1%Brewed with naturally accredited mineral water, this has a rich, tempting aroma of peppery hops and raisins, while the palate is dominated by more dark fruit, juicy malt and tangy hops.

Shepherd Neame Spitfire Gold Golden – ABV 4.1%This beer’s sweet malt base is built upon with tropical aromas imparted by some of the most popular hops of the moment, including Challenger, Centennial and Saaz.

Theakston Lightfoot Pale – ABV 4.1%This is a very pale, straw-coloured ale, using a blend of finest English ale malt, wheat and German and Slovakian hops to achieve a light ‘continental blonde’ style, flavour and aroma.

Wadworth 6X Dark Amber – ABV 4.1%This hand-crafted ale is a timeless amber-hued beer, distinctly full bodied and eminently drinkable. The nose is malty and fruity, with a balancing hoppy note. The delicious malt and fruit character emerges even more intensely on the palate, with a long, lingering, malty finish.

Purity Mad Goose Pale – ABV 4.2%This multi-award-winning zesty pale ale has a smooth and citrusy finish. It is brewed with Pilgrim, Willamette and Chinook hops, giving a light copper ale with a great hop character.

Ringwood Brewery Boondoggle Golden – ABV 4.2%This beer has a hoppy aroma, with a citrus punch, along with a well-balanced, moreish, fruity taste.

St Austell Tribute Pale – ABV 4.2%This beer’s zesty orange and grapefruit flavours are balanced with biscuit malt – giving a superb Cornish classic.

Sharp’s Atlantic Pale – ABV 4.2%This beer’s flavour has a delicate sweetness, with fruity succulence and citrus spice to the fore. The finish is sweet at first, becoming dry and lingering, with hop zest.

Shepherd Neame Spitfire Dark/Amber – ABV 4.2%In this beer, hints of marmalade, red grapes and pepper are thrust from a springboard of warm, mellow malts. The floating fruity finish signs off with a smidgen of spice and raspberry.

Wychwood Hobgoblin Gold Golden – ABV 4.2%This is the latest beer carrying the little fella’s moniker; while Gold might be lighter in colour, it’s definitely no lightweight. A combination of six hop varieties and an infusion of wheat and malted barley have resulted in the perfect golden beer – with a huge hop punch.

Timothy Taylor’s Landlord Pale Amber – ABV 4.3%Refreshingly reliable and nationally renowned, this classic pale ale has a complex and hoppy aroma. This has won more awards nationally than any other beer, including four times as Champion at the Brewers’ International Exhibition and four times as CAMRA’s Champion Beer of Britain.

Caledonian Golden XPA Golden – ABV 4.3%Irresistible all year round, this beer has enticing floral aromas from Cascade hops, while Hersbrucker adds more floral and soft fruit and Northdown develops aromas and light bitterness – all balanced by a malty moreish flavour and satisfying bitterness. Malted wheat ensures a silky-smooth finish.

Thwaites Lancaster Bomber Dark – ABV 4.4%This full-bodied chestnut-coloured ale has an inviting malty aroma and warming aftertaste.

Butcombe Gold Golden – ABV 4.4%This refreshing golden bitter is brimming with character, not to mention citrus hops and fruit. It is made with 100% Maris Otter malt and brewed using a single variety hop – English Fuggles. Its malty fresh vitality gives way to a full bittersweet finish .. . pure GOLD!

Wychwood Hobgoblin Dark – ABV 4.5%Full bodied, this ruby beer delivers a delicious chocolate-toffee-malt flavour, balanced by a rounded moderate bitterness and an overall fruity, mischievous character.

Purity Pure UBU Amber – ABV 4.5%This is a distinctive, full-flavoured beer, with a sweeter finish. It is brewed with English Maris Otter, crystal and wheat malts, with Pilgrim and Cascade hops.

Greene King Old Speckled Hen Amber – ABV 4.5%This beer’s high proportion of crystal malt provides the key toffee-caramel flavour. The yeast used to ferment the beer provides the other key character – estery or banana-pear drop. This estery note provides the fruity and refreshing balance. The hops used add a palate-cleansing herbal note and very slight orange citrus, making a very malty, full-bodied, warming ale.

Adnams Ghost Ship Pale – ABV 4.5%This is brewed with a selection of malts (pale ale, rye and Cara), plus Citra hops, along with a blend of other American hop varieties.. . to create some great citrus flavours.

Brains The Rev James Mahogany – ABV 4.5%This beer is rich and well balanced, with a mellow, malty flavour which unexpectedly gives way to a clean, refreshing finish.

St Austell Proper Job Golden – ABV 4.5%This is packed full of citrus, pineapple and grapefruit resinous flavours, with a fine, crisp bitter finish.

Brakspear Bitter Pale Amber – ABV 3.4%Amber in colour with a good fruity, grassy hop, malt nose, this beer’s initial taste of malt and well-hopped bitterness dissolves into a bittersweet and fruity finish.

Greene King IPA Pale – ABV 3.6%This is an easy-drinking, refreshing IPA. Its fresh, dry-hop and herbal character is provided by the mix of Challenger and First Gold hops. Its crystal malt in the grist gives a satisfying toffee-caramel note, while the addition of a little black malt gives just enough astringency to offer a clean, dry finish.

York Brewery Guzzler Pale – ABV 3.6%This beautifully balanced, light-gold-coloured beer has dominant hop flavours and a pale malt character. It is an easy-drinking, crisp and refreshing session ale, brewed with Challenger and Celeia hops, bringing a light citrus palate, with overtones of grapefruit.

Young’s Bitter Amber – ABV 3.7%This refreshing ale, golden in colour, has a light, dry palate, a fresh, fruity aroma and a long, satisfying bitter finish.

Black Sheep Best Bitter Amber-Gold – ABV 3.8%This classic well-hopped and beautifully balanced beer has a deeply satisfying and refreshing taste, followed by a distinctively dry, long, bitter finish.

Harviestoun Bitter & Twisted Golden – ABV 3.8%This is a superbly balanced, refreshingly lively beer. It has a malty-sweet aroma, with a floral, fruity hoppiness and a zingy, zesty flavour – complex, rounded, sweet and dry.

Ringwood Razorback Rich Brown – ABV 3.8%An ideal balance of hoppy happiness and tangy citrus, this classic beer is plenty refreshing enough to hit the spot.

Robinsons Dizzy Blonde Golden – ABV 3.8%She’s a zesty, vibrant ale with wild, aromatic, invigorating Amarillo hops .. . and a crisp, dry finish.

Theakston Best Bitter Golden – ABV 3.8%This has a full flavour which lingers pleasantly on the palate. With a good bittersweet balance, this beer has a subtle hop character described as citrus and spicy.

Marston’s 61 Deep Straw Blonde – ABV 3.8%Newest brew on the Burton block. 61 metres – that’s the depth of the well at the brewery which gives this refreshing pale ale its name. The five American and Australian hops give it its fresh, zesty aroma, while the tropical fruit and citrus notes make it extremely drinkable – dive in.

Fuller’s Oliver’s Island Golden – ABV 3.8%This beer’s unique blend has distinctive biscuity, grapefruit flavours, with tropical notes and refreshing zesty qualities. Delicate citrus and oral aromas are delivered by floral and citrus hops and golden malt, combined with orange peel.

Castle Rock Harvest Pale Pale – ABV 3.8%This is brewed with a gently kilned malt and an aromatic blend of American hops added during the brewing process, giving this pale beer exceptional poise. Its distinct hop flavour leads to a crisp finish. This beer has firmly established itself as Castle Rock’s flagship beer.

Purity Pure Gold Golden – ABV 3.8%This refreshing golden ale has a dry and bitter finish. Brewed with English Maris Otter, Caragold, Caramalt and wheat malts, plus Pilgrim, Styrian and Hereford Goldings, Styrian Bobek and Citra hops, it is the winner of nine awards.

Theakston Black Bull Bitter Amber – ABV 3.9%Crisp, dry and fruity, this bright, amber bitter is well attenuated to give a crisp, refreshingly dry taste. The late and dry hopping, with Goldings hops, ensures a pronounced citrus fruit flavour and aroma.

Young’s London Gold Golden – ABV 4.0%This is a light, golden and full-flavoured beer, with a refreshing bite.

Charles Wells Courage Pale – ABV 4.0%This is fully balanced, with a malty flavour and distinctive hop character, making for an easy-drinking session beer.

Sharp’s Doom Bar Amber – ABV 4.0%The mouthfeel of this beer is a balanced, complex blend of succulent dried fruit, lightly roasted malt and a subtle (yet assertive) bitterness.

Timothy Taylor’s Boltmaker Amber – ABV 4.0%This 2016 CAMRA Champion Beer of Britain gold-medal bitter is a well-balanced, genuine Yorkshire bitter, with a full measure of maltiness and a hoppy aroma.

Wadworth Horizon Golden – ABV 4.0%This beer is perfect to be enjoyed all year round. Light in colour, but full in flavour, it’s tangy and refreshing. It is also a great beer for those new to ale. The golden ale is packed with 100% pale ale malt and a blend of classic and New World hops. It offers zesty, citrus and hop aromas, plus a crisp, tangy finish on the palate.

Otter Amber Amber – ABV 4.0%Otter Amber is the perfect mid-gravity beer, with a well-balanced (yet complex) flavour. A polished amber colour and lovely blend of spice make for an unforgettable aroma. You will find bitterness and hints of tropical fruit and spice in the flavour – almost a smidgen of ginger.
