In August of 2017, InVisionApp, a digital product design platform powering the

world’s best customer experiences, partnered with Andela to build third-party

integrations with collaboration tools and flat prototype assets that are used for

design.

InVisionApp already had employees based in 23 countries, so it was a no-brainer

to add Nigeria, Kenya and Uganda as 24 through 26. With a remote-first mindset

firmly established, the InVision/Andela partnership took off quickly, starting with

four Andela developers on two teams and growing to ten developers across six

teams today.

Murphy joined InVision in June of 2017 as a

member InVision’s Core Engineering team.

Murphy was brought on specifically to

create endpoints in a Node service to

support an internal admin tool.

Quickly mastering this, he was given

broader feature work, then moved on to

front-end tasks using React and Angular,

and picked up Go along the way. In the past

year, he has gained extensive knowledge of

the product and is able to take on any

ticket within the InVision repos.
