In order to connect Reebok with its target athletes, drive brand awareness and grow the sportwear giant’s consumer database, ACTIVE presented its unique global sponsorship strategy.

The program featured Virtual Event Bags, a digital “goodie” bag that would entice participation with an exclusive Reebok apparel giveaway to athletes participating in running events across the country.

The Virtual Event Bag would give Reebok premium event exposure without the logistics of sponsoring individual events. Additionally, Reebok could then reach out directly to all giveaway applicants with exclusive merchandise offers to drive even more sponsorship value.

The contest and Virtual Event Bags were strategically positioned to target runners at optimal times during the event participation process increasing opt-ins and

traffic to Reebok’s site.
