your reasons for choosing your education provider/school?

I prefer to study in Holmesglen Chadstone Campus Victoria Melbourne Australia, because it has good facilities, advance technology for design, it has good reviews on forums, blogs, social media accounts and YouTube videos, they have also small classes where they can focus in all students in the class, I can also make sure that Im always fit because they have Fitness Center where I can exercise, they have restaurants where I can eat different cuisines and they have studios for arts where i can see a lot of art pieces that will help me to gather ideas for design.

Why do you intend to study in Australia instead in the Philippines?

I want to study design course in Australia because Australia is a very creative country as we can see in the structures of their buildings and bridges they have very modern and unique designs where will expand my ideas about design. Also, they have latest technology and genuine softwares for design so that the functions of the software that we will be using is not limited, and it has top schools in the world where I can assure myself that the knowledge that I will get will satisfy me. Also, it has top cities in the world including Melbourne where I chose to study because it is the most livable city in the world that where I can feel Im safe all the time.

the relevance of your course of studies to your academic and/or employment background?

I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. I have worked as Web Designer / Web Developer in two companies which are automobile and advertising company, some of my duties and responsibilities include Layout Design for websites and converting layouts into static or dynamic website like online reservation system and ECommerce websites.

the relevance of the course to your future career/educational plans?

The relevance of this course to my future career is I want to continue my job position as web developer / web designer where I I will be designing layouts and banner ads for websites

the importance of getting an Australian qualification with your plans when you get back in the Philippines?

When I finish the course, I will be able to satisfy my future clients by having excellent foundation of design and programming. Also, I have a big chance to be getting a big salary and to be able to accept by the company faster because I have big advantage to other applicants I have high quality education background and educational background.I have also a chance to share the knowledge that Ive learned to the company that I will be getting in to help them for their innovation in computer and design technology.

How did you choose your school? Did someone referred it to you or you did a research?

I searched the list of schools which offers vocational courses in Melbourne and found the subclass 572 and Holmesglen. Why did you choose to study vocational course rather than to choosing a bachelors degree?

I chose to study vocational diploma rather than a bachelors degree because even its a vocational course, the high quality of education they have in Australia is enough to satisfy me and its more focus on the actual and major subjects rather than the bachelors degree they have a lot of theory involve and also another reason why I chose to study vocational because I want to go back early because I have a son here in the Philippines waiting for me I dont want to go away to with too long because I need to do my responsibility to him

Actually I dont care if it is streamlined visa or not because my focus is the knowledge and skills that I will be getting from the school that I choose whether Im going to present an evidence of fund or not my parents and my sister that will sponsors me can provide it

If you do not do this, your family members will not be eligible for the grant of student visas as your dependants to join you in Australia. An exception to this is if they became your family members after your student visa was granted and before a subsequent application is made.You must also provide proof of your relationship to each family member such as officially issued birth and marriage certificates.Your family members must meet the specific visa requirements to be eligible for this visa as student dependants.

Genuine temporary entrant requirement

Your dependent family members individual circumstances must demonstrate that your dependent family member genuinely intends to stay in Australia temporarily.The factors that are considered during assessment of the genuine temporary entrant (GTE) requirement include: your dependent family member's personal circumstances in your home country your dependent family member's potential circumstances in Australia your dependent family member's immigration history any other matter that is relevant to your dependent family member's intention to remain in Australia temporarily.If your dependent family member is a minor the intentions of their parent, legal guardian or spouse will also be considered.The information provided in your application form and supporting documentation will be used to assess the GTE requirement. Health requirements

Your dependent family members must meet certain health requirements and may need to undergo a health examination. The requirements vary based on: length of stay in Australia other health risks in home country or countries visited for more than three months within the last five years.Note: Health examinations can be completed before you lodge your visa application, but no more than six months before your course starts.

Health insurance

Your family members must have health insurance while in Australia. For applicants of this visa, the values statement is included in the general declaration section of the application form. By signing the form applicants will also be signing the values statement. The department must be satisfied that an applicant, once in Australia, will have genuine access to the funds they claim to possess to cover the travel, tuition and living costs for themselves and their family members.You must have enough money to pay for travel, tuition and living expenses for yourself, your partner and your dependent children for the duration of your stay in Australia.You must: show proof that you can meet these financial requirements for the first 12 months of your stay in Australia.Note: If you have completed 75 percent of your course and are applying for a subsequent student visa, you do not need to show your savings history. declare on your application that you can meet these financial requirements for the remainder of your stay in Australia. Acceptable sources of income

The money to support you and your family members must come from one or more acceptable sources, which may include: a money deposit with a financial institution held by you, or an eligible family member, for at least three consecutive months immediately before the date of your visa application a loan from a financial institution made to you or an eligible family member a loan from your government your proposed education provider the Australian Government or an Australian State or Territory government the government of a foreign country a provincial or state government of a foreign country that has the written support of the national government of the foreign country an organisation gazetted by the Ministe an acceptable non-profit organisation a multilateral agency.Examples: United Nations, World Bank or Asian Development BankNote: Non-cash assets such as property and shares are not acceptable sources of income. However, non-cash assets may be liquidated or used as collateral on a loan, if they are provided by an acceptable source.Note: An eligible family member includes: the applicant the applicant's partner the applicant's parents the applicant's grandparents the applicant's brothers or sisters an uncle or aunt of the applicant who is: an Australian citizen, and Australian permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen and usually resident in Australia.Fully Funded StudentsIf you are a fully funded student, you must show evidence that the sponsoring agency, government or organisation will cover the cost of: travel, tuition and living expenses for yourself and dependent family members accompanying you to Australia supporting your dependent family members remaining in your home country, taking into consideration the local standard of living.Note: If family members later decide to join you in Australia, you must show evidence of extra funds from an acceptable source to cover their travel, tuition and living expenses in Australia.

Prepaid boarding or homestay fees

If you are boarding or have entered into homestay arrangements with your education provider and have prepaid your boarding or homestay fees, the amount you have prepaid can be deducted from the total amount of living costs you must demonstrate to the department. You will need to show evidence to the department of the boarding or homestay fees as separate from the tuition fees.Example: A contract or an authorised receipt of payment from your education provider.Note: Only formal boarding or homestay arrangements will be accepted by the department. Prepayment of private boarding or homestay arrangements or rent will not be deducted from the living cost requirement.

Providing evidence of deposits or loans

You need to show evidence of how the money to fund your studies was accumulated.If your source of income is a money deposit held in a bank account, you must provide the following evidence: pay slips bank loan documents interest from investments.If your source of income is a loan, you must provide the following evidence: a bank statement showing the amount of available credit a statement from the holder of the loan that its purpose is to support your studies.Note: If your source of income is a home loan with a redraw facility from an Australian financial institution, the funds from the redraw facility may be considered a loan. A home loan with a redraw facility from a non-Australian financial institution may be acceptable, but must be considered on a case-by-case basis. Financial support from a non-profit organization

A non-profit organisation providing you with financial support must be lawfully established and operating in Australia or overseas. You must show evidence of the organisation's non-profit status, including: statement from the Australian Taxation Office showing organisation's status documents of incorporation as a non-profit organisation.You must also show evidence that the organisation has sufficient funds or income to support you financially. Evidence may include: bank statements financial statements.

Supporting family members when studying for less than 12 months

If you are applying to study in Australia for less than 12 months, your family members are not eligible to come with you to Australia. However, you must show that you have enough funds to support your family members in your home country, taking into consideration the standard cost of living in that country.

OBLIGATIONS

Student

You must uphold your visa conditions while studying and living in Australia or your visa may be cancelled and you may have to leave Australia.

Course enrolment, attendance and progress

You must remain enrolled in a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).See: CRICOS You must maintain satisfactory attendance in your course as required by your education provider.You must make satisfactory course progress for each study period.Your education provider will advise the department if your attendance or course progress is not satisfactory. The definition of 'satisfactory' is determined by your education provider.

Changing your education provider

Providing your home address

You must advise your education provider of your home address within seven days of arriving in Australia. Also, if you change your address during your stay in Australia, you must advise your education provider within seven days.Note: Your education provider needs your home address so they can contact you if you do not satisfy the requirements of your course. If they cannot contact you, this could result in your student visa being cancelled.

'No further stay' or 'further stay restricted' condition

Some visas are issued with a 'no further stay' or 'further stay restricted' condition. This condition means that you cannot apply to stay in Australia beyond the date specified on your visa, except in certain circumstances.Limited circumstances may include students who want to apply for: a student visa with permission to work (using Form 157P or 157P internet) a student visa that is supported by a sponsoring government agency a Student Guardian visa a visa to engage Australia's protection obligations.Students under 18 years of age

If you are under 18 years of age you must maintain your accommodation, support and general welfare arrangements for the duration of your visa or until you turn 18. If your welfare arrangements are approved by your education provider you can not travel to Australia until your welfare arrangements commence. The date your welfare arrangements commence is the welfare start date that your education provider has nominated on the Confirmation of Appropriate Accommodation/Welfare Arrangements (CAAW) letter.If your welfare arrangements change after your visa has been granted you must inform the department of these changes.If your parents/legal custodian approved your accommodation, support and general welfare arrangements for you to stay with a relative in Australia, you must have their written approval to change these arrangements.See: Form 157N Nomination of a student guardian (171KB PDF)If your education provider approved your accommodation, support and general welfare arrangements, you must have the education provider's written approval to change these arrangements.

Financial capacity

You must maintain enough money to pay for travel, tuition and living expenses for yourself, your partner and your dependent children for the duration of your stay in Australia.

School age family members

Any family members of school age (between five and 18 years) living in Australia must attend school in Australia.

Health insurance
