Case Competition The case competition is a graded component of the SCMP, representing 5% of the final Supply Chain Management Program mark. Attendees will be asked to present, in a group, their response to a case study to be provided at In-Residence Week. The judges will assign the group mark which will be the same for all members. Guidelines 1. Oral case presentations will be 15 minutes in length, followed by a 15 minute Q & A during which the judges will question the competitors on their case and presentation. 2. Prior to presentation, competitors will be introduced by their team number to the judges. Presenters may introduce themselves and their partner(s) by their first names only. 3. Presentations must be made using PowerPoint. Competitors must use the provided template for their presentations. 4. Teams may use notes and/or cue cards during the presentations. 5. There is no limit to the number of slides that may be used, although time limit should be factored in when determining the presentation length 6. Each member of the team must participate in the preparation and presentation. 7. Data may be inserted from excel. 8. Competitors are permitted to use the drawing toolbar and smart art (circles, lines, boxes, text boxes, arrows, chars, diagrams, etc.) 9. Use of all material including articles, readings, pictures, clip art, video clips, sound clips or animation must be thoroughly referenced. 10. Navigation between PowerPoint slides and Excel spreadsheets is permitted. 11. Teams must save their presentations as their event and team number. Example: IRW Case Competition Team 1. 12. Upon the conclusion of all presentations, a briefing may be held if time permits. Judges will outline some general suggestions and comments regarding the presentations. Winners will be announced at the awards dinner.
