Carry out replacement in the following order:

Tighten the parking brake lever.

Disconnect the brake hose holder from theshock absorber strut.

Unscrew the lower fastener of the shockabsorber strut.

Open the hood

Unscrew the top fastening of the shock strutmount.

Remove the suspension strut.

Set the shock absorber strut on the springcompressor tool.

Compress the spring.

Unscrew the top fastening of the shock strutmount.

Remove the top mount, the support bearing andthe upper spring cup.

AutoDoc recommends:

Note that when using a spring compressor, spring coils needto be securely gripped, compressing the spring on theopposite sides.

Ensure the correct position of the spring in the retainer.

Make sure that the spring coils tightly entered the lockhandles.

Remove the spring.

Remove the shock absorber dust cap and thebump stop.

Before installing a new shock absorber youshould pump it manually 3-5 times.

Install a new shock absorber on a special fixturefor further mounting of the spring

Install the spring on the shock absorber

AutoDoc recommends:

Examine suspension spring rubber spacers. Replace them ifneeded.

Τhoroughly examine the shock absorber mount, dust boot,bump stop. Replace them if necessary.

Install the dust sleeve and the bump stop on thenew shock absorber

Compress the spring.

Install the top mount, the strut mount bearing andthe upper spring cup.

Screw the top fastening of the shock strut mount

Place the shock absorber in the wheel arch andfasten it.

Fasten the brake hose on the strut.
