100 YEARS OF MODERN WARFARE
The Royal Navy and Imperial German Navy entered the First World War with weapons systems they had not used in battle before. The commissioning of HMS Dreadnought in 1906 had created an arms race and a massive building programme that introduced mines, submarines, aircraft and airships into naval warfare.
This book discusses the key operations of the two World Wars and examines how the navy adapted to rapid technological and operational change. Concluding with the Falklands War and today’s peace-keeping role, this is a fascinating and informative account of our modern Royal Navy.
THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF THE ROYAL NAVY Based in Portsmouth's Historic Dockyard, the Museum houses an unparalleled collection of naval hardware, photographs, artworks and documents. Its wider collections include items relating to the Royal Marines, Fleet Air Arm and Submarine Service

THE WORLD’S MOST DEPRESSING BOOK
Colouring books are the new cool. They are reported to have therapeutic effects that are good for your mental state. It's even been claimed that they alleviate the symptoms of depression... But what if you like being depressed? What if you ‘enjoy’ feeling off-colour?
This book turns the colouring-in craze on its head by inviting readers to colour the pages completely in black for alternative psychological ‘benefits’. So Whether you want to be melancholy or mirthless, morose or moody, this book allows you to enjoy all of the fun of the colouring book zeitgeist without conforming to the mainstream or running the risk of accidentally acquiring a sunny disposition.

THE DEFINITIVE SOURCEBOOK
The 1930s was a turbulent decade for the world at large - a decade framed by the economic crash of 1929, and the outbreak of the Second World War. But it was also the decade that saw the rise of glamorous Hollywood fashions, with silver screen goddesses wearing slinky satin gowns that marked a new and overtly sensual direction in women's fashion design.
This enchanting book, the second in the series, reveals a world of revolutionary changes in fashion. This is the era of the skirt suit, of sportswear-as-daywear and jersey fabrics, of fur coats and matching accessories. It is the decade of so many trends that are, even today, so eminently wearable.
