Greetings Carefree Owners and Friends,
It’s hard to believe it’s already August; here’s hoping the rainy July is behind us and warmer
sunny days are ahead.
It’s sure nice to see all the smiley faces in the pictures in this newsletter from last weekend’s
activities. Thank you to all the volunteers that continue to organize such great events for every-
one to enjoy.
I’m looking forward to being at the lake this August long weekend. So far, the weather looks
great which will be welcomed by everyone participating, and watching the adult ball tournament
that starts Saturday morning. After a day of fun outside, families come check out the Family
Dance at 7 p.m. with a live band featuring Al Barrett and later in the evening, adults can unwind
at their Adult Dance. Sunday evening, after the ball tournament wrap-up, we have the IKONS
Kiss tribute performing in the clubhouse. This is a pre-purchased ticket event which is sold out.
However, I encourage you to shout it out on the FB site to see if there are any last-minute tick-
ets available from owners.
Don’t forget to put these big events on your calendar for next weekend: Movie in Marina Park
on Friday night and every kid’s favorite event - Halloween at Carefree on Saturday afternoon
with the trick or treating, the kid’s Halloween dance, hosted by DJ Sherri in the evening, fol-
lowed by a new band for the adult Halloween dance.
In closing, I’d like to say a sincere thank you to all our social volunteers who make Carefree tru-
ly a unique summer vacation resort. Please email your feedback and/or social suggestions to
[email protected]. We would love to hear from you!
Read the weekly newsletter for all updates throughout the summer.
