Caravaggio’s Biography
Caravaggio was known for painting in a dark
manner. He was said to be an “evil genius” and
an “anti-Christ of painting.”He lived an
unorthodox life, having to flee Rome for murder.
He painted “The Calling of St. Matthew”,
“Supper at Emmaus”, and “The Conversion of
St. Paul”, as well as many others

composer, and theater designer. He
sculpted another version of “David”. He also
painted “The Ecstasy of St. Theresa”. By the
time he died, he had left his mark on Rome.
