AVW has introduced more than its share ofgroundbreaking products over the years — productswhich have become industry standards. We were thefirst to make the vertical angle of brushes adjustable tovehicle profiles and we invented the modern Wrap-Around which has become the standard of the carwash industry. We manufactured one of the firstFollowing Wheel Blaster and introduced the Contour

Brush to the North America market. In 1999, we builtand installed the first Detail Belt Conveyor followed in2005 by the introduction of Belt Conveyors for wet/wash applications, an innovation which is, again,fundamentally changing the industry. Belt Conveyorsare the future and our current production surpassesthat of over-under roller conveyors!

The vast majority of our car wash equipment is designed and manufactured in-houseusing stainless steel and other high-quality materials. We control all aspects of designand production so each component has been manufactured to achieve optimalperformance. “Simplicity in motion” design principles inherently produce moredurable and reliable components, since there are fewer things to break, wear out,malfunction, and maintain. . . effective equipment that will wash high volumes ofconsistently clean and dry cars.

Here again, we have applied our “simplicity in motion” design principles tobuild an elegant and low-maintenance conveyor system consisting of a steelframe, stainless glide plates, and plastic belts powered with an electric-drivegear motor and sprockets. Suitable for both retrofit and new construction, weoffer a wide range of widths in a variety of belt and pusher colors. We havethe technology, engineering, and experience to build a belt conveyor systemwhich can help you realize your wash count potential.

Belt conveyors are the future

Customers like the smoother, quieter and safer ride, especially for their pricey rims, ground effects, and undercarriage. Car wash owners and operators who upgrade to BeltConveyors see increases in volume and sales attributed directly to the switch. STAINLESS STEEL CONSTRUCTION

We manufacture nearly all structural and mechanical components using stainless steel,including applicator arches, top brushes and mitters, wraps and side washers, tire washers,vacuum equipment, dryers, etc. . . .any and all components which are exposed to the harshconditions found in car wash environments and need to maintain their structural andaesthetic integrity.

Stainless steel isn’t the least expensive material, and not the easiest to fabricate, but itdelivers the most bang for the buck and retains its value. When your equipment has washedits share of vehicles, the structure will still be sound and have an attractive appearance.Clean it, replace the wear components, and it’s as good as new, ready for another tour ofduty. Buy it once, use it twice. It’s that simple.

Stainless steel has a high resistance to corrosion and is aestheticallyappealing and simple to maintain. Stainless steel is a durable, lowmaintenance material and is often the most cost-effective choice in alife cycle cost comparison. It is superior to carbon steel which canrust and corrode from road salt and car wash acids. And it isstronger than aluminum, which can fatigue over time and is not asresistant to certain chemicals.

FLEXIBLE MANUFACTURING

Generally, the current manufacturing approach is to drive repetitiveconsistency and reductions in process variation; standardize 90%of production and take the remaining 10% custom work into thejob shop. But because your site, your building, your clientele, localregulations, and your competition are anything but standard andconsistent, “cookie- cutter” manufacturing approaches andequipment just don’t cut it.

At AVW, your needs demand much more than just 10% of ourattention and dedicated resources. Our emphasis on job-shopmanufacturing enables us to fabricate your equipment as if youwere building it yourself. We use contemporary manufacturingtechnologies, but our methods have to be capable of delivering,paradoxically, variability consistently and accurately. While it’s atremendous challenge, the job-shop approach has proven to be thebest method of delivering custom solutions to you, our uniquecustomer with unique needs and specifications.

CAR WASH EQUIPMENTRoller Correlator/Mirror Entry Our Roller Correlator is constructed of stainless steel anddurable UHMW. Its simple design fits most existing frames. It can also be customized to fit odd sizes. And rollers lift outfor easy replacement and cleaning. AVW’s steel MirrorEntry is free standing with an extra-large adjustable mirror.

Roller Conveyors AVW Roller Conveyors feature a three-track design made ofheavy-gauge steel or optional stainless steel. It incorporatespneumatic roller up and chain tensioning for smoothoperation, a re-designed UHMW rail guard to protect rims,direct drive hydraulics for longer life, higher durability, andfaster disassembly, when needed.

Belt Conveyors AVW Belt Conveyors are designed for more control of thevehicle but fewer restrictions on the type of vehicle beingwashed. With all four tires in the command of the belt, brakingand steering have no consequences. Eliminating guide railsalso eliminates wheel damage. Loading on to a 8’ wide beltarea is more customer friendly than on to a 13” wide rollerconveyor. And, tunnel efficiency is dramatically improved.

Applicator Arches The AVW Applicator Arch is made of long-lasting stainlesstube with many options available for soap, conditioning,rinsing and finishing. Spray manifolds and rain bars, withnumerous options, deliver chemical and water exactly whereneeded to solve your particular challenges. Our ShowerManifold is made of 1.5" x 1.5" stainless tube with 1-5 rowsof holes available for a wide range of water flows. Suitablefor pretreatment, rinse, sealer, drying agent, and spot free.

Applicators AVW’s Tire Applicators and Floor Applicators feature cleanstainless steel applicator designs, have minimal spacerequirements, utilize computer or treadle control, and providean air foaming option. The AVW Curved Compact FoamApplicators can be flexibly configured from a single bolt-onmounting plate in multiple patterns (single, double, triple, etc.)for multiple angles and greater coverage. Can be used forpresoak, cloth lubrication and foam conditioning.

Wrap Arounds AVW’s trend-setting Wrap Arounds are the embodiment of“Simplicity in Motion”, taking advantage of basicgravitational physics to control operation with simpleadjustments. With a constant force, highly reliable andrepeatable motion is achieved that thoroughly cleans the sidesand ends of vehicles, even at high conveyor speeds. TheAVW Wrap Arounds are recognized as the best in thebusiness installed in the most successful car washes.

CombinationsOur equipment combinations are ideal for space savings inshort tunnels and for productivity and performance in highspeed longer tunnels. Certain combinations, like Z-Wrap/Contour combinations, are AVW exclusives and offerunrivaled performance. Combination units routinely boostcar wash counts by 20-30% over the traditional “car countequals tunnel length” rule of thumb.

High Pressure Arches The AVW stainless steel High Pressure Arches deliver highpressure, high volume coverage to meet today’s demands forthorough foam and soap rinse from close-tolerance vehiclebody gaps. A key feature of AVW arches is the infinitevariability at multiple points to control the sweep, directionand placement of water where it’s needed, and to avoidwasted water.

High Pressure Blasters AVW’s stationary Fixed Rocker Blaster with no moving parts,the Swirling Side Blaster with high action swirling motion forirregular surfaces, the spinning Wheel Cannon and thePivoting Turbo Blaster offer the widest range of effectiveoptions in blaster technology to handle dirt at any line speed.And for the ultimate in wheel cleaning, AVW’s exclusiveFollowing Wheel Blaster delivers high impact combined withultra-long residence time.

Tire Washer/Tire Dressing ApplicatorThe AVW Tire Washer is low-profile in standard or SteppedBrush configurations and can be located under MitterCurtains and Top Brushes to save space. The AVW TireDressing Applicator is designed to shine a tire on rollerconveyors or Belt Conveyors with outstanding durability. Anoptional dosing controller provides more consistent shinesand eliminates chemical spray, drip and waste.

Undercarriage/Bumper ApplicatorThe AVW Undercarriage Wash employs geometry thatallows a much wider spray pattern than its footprint,providing coverage unavailable in alternative designs. Twoversions of the AVW Bumper Applicator are available:stationary oscillating and following oscillating. Stationary ispreferred for limited tunnel space; following is preferred forhigher residence time for tough jobs. Both are very lowprofile and fit in the conveyor pit of almost any wash.

Top Brush The AVW Top Brush is designed to clean hoods, windshields,and roofs of vehicles and is the preferred technology forheavy bugs. With a single side mounting platform, it can beinstalled on either the driver or passenger side. The Dual Topbrush works in the same amount of space as the single. TheTilting Top Brush offers vehicle-following action of up to 3feet which provides long residence time for problem areas.

Mitter Curtain The AVW Mitter Curtain has a unique basket motion thatprovides aggressive cleaning of the top vehicle surfaces. Thecircular motion simulates hand washing and provides bothfront-to-back and side-to-side action in one motion. Instead ofseveral baskets with multiple bearings and complexmechanics, AVW Mitters exemplify “Simplicity in Motion”; an ingenious design comprised of just a few moving partswith very low maintenance.

Rocker Panel Brush The AVW stainless steel Rocker Panel Brush is angleadjustable so you can match the rocker brush orientation tothe shape of the vehicle and the brush’s precise location.Compact design facilitates mounting under Mitter and TopBrushes with ease. Simple to install. Available in 21”, 41”standard designs and an optional 28” height.

Contour Side Washer The AVW Contour Side Washer is designed to thoroughlyclean the sides of vehicles at higher speeds, outperformingstraight Side Brushes. Originally developed by Kaady CarWash, the Contour Brush is actually two brushes in one, a21” rocker under a 51” upper side brush. Unlike a straightSide Washer, the brushes are tilted to match, or “contour”,the vehicle shape and turn in opposite directions to optimizebrush performance.

Dryer EquipmentAVW Blowers are available in highly efficient 10 HP and 15 HP models in stainless steel or UHMW plastic housings.Exceptional nozzle velocities enable tailoring to problem areasor noise issues in sensitive installations. A virtually limitlessrange of dryer system designs are available with flexiblemounting systems. Pivoting nozzles, variable speed MCCs,“Air Rinse” pre-dry, and “A.I.R. Gate” blower chokes providea full line of additional performance and control options.

Vacuum SystemsAVW Vacuum Systems attractively blend into the wash siteand their stainless steel construction is virtually weather-proof. They are available with a range of options includinga central vac separator, or with a high efficiency vac motorcontrolled by a free vac push-button actuator box or a coinbox. Mounted to a concrete pier, our vacuum systems offeran easy way to add vacuum capacity to any site.

High-Pressure Pumping Stations The AVW stainless steel High-Pressure Pumping Stationspower any equipment with up to three pumps (8, 25, or 35gpm) and up to 1000 psi. Using tough diaphragm pumpsdesigned for oil-field application, AVW High PressurePumping Stations are as equally at home handling reclaimwater as they are handling fresh water. You are only limitedby what your nozzle configurations and chemistry can handle.

Hydraulic Power UnitsThe AVW Hydraulic Power Units feature dependable, long-lasting components which are built to last for decades.Constructed with stainless steel and available in 2 - 7 portconfigurations. Simple, reliable, and virtually maintenance-free gear pumps, with flow dividers that ensure that everypiece of equipment gets an equal amount of hydraulic fluidvolume (speed) and pressure (torque).

Chemical Pumping StationsAVW offers a variety of Chemical Pumping Stations thatare built on easy to clean and maintain heavy-duty stainlesssteel panels.
